My Grandad said The Canadians kicked ass, said they were nut's...The English soldiers have a hell of a lot of respect for the Canadians. Yeah, my gramps was so humble, never hardly talked about being at Juno, let my dad have his medals to play soldier with when he was a kid. I'm sure my pops lost them, or traded them at school for some German stuff. That was the thing at school in those days, trading buttons, patches, bullets... medals, etc. In London, swapping stuff their dad's, brothers, and uncles brought home from the Germans, overseas, it was a big thing. Then my dad married one, yep... Dad's English, mom's German... Nan and grandad loved that...

My Grandfather wasn't at Juno But he was in The Italian Campaign & Southern France. His unit was credited as being the first into Rome to Liberate it from The Nazis. His Unit was The U.S./Canada first special service force (The Black Devil's/Devil's Brigade).

Apparently Juno Beach was one of the most heavily defended Beaches on The Normandy Coast next to Omaha. We lost alot of people there. Respect to the Veterans 🇨🇦 🇺🇲 🇬🇧 🙏

Even as an American I blast this song on D-Day. 18,700 of you brace Canadians died in the Battle of Normandy. We Yanks get a lot of credit but you Canuks sacrificed an immeasurable amount to help save the free world. One of my all time favorite 3 songs!

As far as lyric videos go, this is REALLY well done; the effects on both the filmed footage of the band and stock war footage are stylishly clever, and the whole concept is professional. Also, I love how the band members are constantly holding up a paper mask of bassist Byron Stroud, since he doesn't seem to be present anywhere else in the video; VERY funny!

should have done one about Dieppe, where the brits sent 4000 Canadians, 1000 brits and 50 US rangers to die on a beach so a group of SF could steal the new version of the enigma encoder in the chaos of the battle.

Just proves that classic sounding Metal can still be made. All the awesome Metal bands from the 80's and even early 90's should just go back to what made them famous. Bands like Testament and Anthrax have realized this. Metallica finally realized it with their last CD.
