I think that Peter's website design follows Apple's design on their website, big spacy sections, large typography, etc. And that's very obvious in the App page, where he has two icons on top, just below the main menu. It's the same way that Apple shows iPhones and its related products/accessories when you click on iPhone in the main menu. Designs like this are very common and popular nowadays.

Fair point, but I would consider the use case. Shopping for iPhones isn't the same as trying to get jobs as an iOS developer in a competitive environment. Design is more than how it looks. It's also about how it's used.

The good thing about Peter , he can code and he can animate & draw svg, but he couldn't show it enough in his portfolio,

Sean, you mentioned that you recommended a developer update his mockups to new models. Wouldn't it be more beneficial to say, include both a new mockup and a older mockup to show that you can work with say, iOS 13+?
@seanallen3 жыл бұрын
I could see a situation where you could do that. But I would be explicit that you are saying "here's how I handled old devices for this app". It would be a deliberate showcase of that skill. For everything else, I would default to the latest devices to keep your portfolio looking as modern as possible.

Hi Sean. Great video as always, unfortunately the timestamp at 7:36 isn't meant for me though 😅 Just letting you know so the whole section would remain An's

Thanks for pointing that out. Must have forgotten to delete that part after copy/pasting from the last video.

I don't know but I am frustrated with our iOS developer community... I am reaching out some developer I know they all Pro and they haven't enough time to respond me bcuz I am not that Pro... I am working on Custom vibration App with Audio tool box with custom intensity and level.. no one is answering or welling to help... Why ...

??? a one page portfolio is already easier to read, why who gonna hire this guy should read a paragraph before than other. The concept of these templates is already to speed readings. It doen't make sense revert a section before o after other if you use a one page portfolio. If people are so lazy that they don't read a hiring page, they better not hire anyone.
