You should get an electric nail trimmer that files an animal's nails like a nail file instead of a nail clipper that can cut nerve endings. The cats don't feel any pain this way.

I hope and I am praying that u only cut the very tips of the nails! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 It pains them a LOT if we trim more than that, it is awful bloody painful to them. You could look up Vancouver cat vet, a very friendly looking Canadian vet , specializes in cats and kits. I learned this from him. Also, while trimming your cats nails, you can keep assuring them, cooing to them that it is fun to cut nails,promise them that you will not hurt them while doing it, sing it very reassuringly. After few nail trimming sessions, they will trust you and not bite u. Really, it pains them a lot when we trim more than their nail tips.

Actually during quarantine a mom street cat and her 3 kittens started coming to our home for food They kinda own the house now...since they are street cats, we can't give them bath or cut their nails...they like their freedom...they have sharp and long nails that would definitely hurt if they grip and scratched little strongly...but they are cute, we feel sad when they don't show up sometimes
