I faced same problem in my Alto K10 because I installed front brake pad from local mechanic. Scratching type sound come whenever I brake so after one month when I got time, I replaced those brake pads with genuine maruti brake pads. Labour cost is high for replacing brake pads so I preferred a known ex maruti mechanic to install brake pad. From that day there is no sound in braking even if I am driving down hill.
