3 Laying the First Course

Thanks for your content very helpful. I'm laying out my first course of engineering bricks today and found the gap between the foundation and brick is averaging 20mm then 30mm at one end if I keep going. Do you think this is to much? (single story extension).

30 mm defiantly to much , try tightening all the joints and you may get another half brick at one end.

Sorry I have an ok joint gap in between the bricks, it's the height of the 1st course of mortar between foundations and bricks. Many thanks.
