Love your videos. In mixed rec play often the ladies I play with don’t understand this. When I take a middle ball that’s two or three feet into my partner’s side I want her to move away and forward. This allows us to close on the kitchen together.

Awesome, my wife and I are always looking for strategies when we play as a team. Return to the player coming in; hit behind the male to move him off center, crash the NVZ if not already there, and attack open space by the female player. This should help keep peace between my wife and I. Thanks

Yep, you’re right it sounds bad when you say it out loud. Maybe the same strategy also works on men’s doubles or women’s doubles; to hit behind the better, stronger player, so you have more of an opportunity to attack the weaker, less skilled player. In rec play it’s not set in stone that the better player is always the male.
