I have been both sides. The one killing and the one being killed. I won both games as well. The one where I was getting owned in solo was a pretty bad game for me, I died 3 times way too early, (not following someone proxying) but after that I just didn't engage and my jungler focused on the other lanes and got them ahead giving us the win even with a fed enemy solo laner.

I haven’t seen anyone do it yet but, with Kuku, if you’re building Thoth first item; it’s better to get the T2 book that gives a bunch of mana (no int) instead of the T1 gem thing. The conversion of mana to int from Kuku’s passive nets you more power than the T1 gem.

This is why smite won’t get a larger player base. Conquest is the focal point and new players just wanna battle making assault and arena the most played game modes. This guy had 0 fun, probably yelled at the whole time, then uninstalled. He won’t ever play the game again and warn his friends not to either.
