Thank you so much for playing without any piano accompaniment -- I feel as I am learning, it is easier to really listen for detail in how to play it without the distraction of the piano's part.

This is lovely, thank you so much for sharing. I am working on this piece now, and finding it to be very challenging. It helps me a lot to hear the cello part only, without the piano accompaniment. How long have you been playing? Thanks again!

Hiiii I’m back from a long summer vacation lol (I’m still a student haha), my teacher told us to do this a summer homework but I never (maybe only once,,,,haha no)practiced it and I’m back to school tmr so I gotta catch up. I never really knew how to do the transition between bar 8 and bar 9 (20 and 21 too) so this helped me a lot :D. BIG thanks to you :D😊😊😊😊😊 Edit: I gotta slow it down bc I’m not that good yet :/

I find that is the hardest part for my students too! Make sure to work through that part without the trill and the grace notes with a metronome first to get the timing down. Once that’s secure, try adding the grace notes. Then try only with the trill. Once both of those are secure, try them together.

@thecelloboy
@thecelloboy Жыл бұрын
Between the B and C#? Hold the B down solidly and in quick succession, go between having just your first finger down and having all three fingers down. Practice it slowly at first and keep trying to get it faster.

Something interesting to note: I'm testing new bows at the moment and have just started learning this piece. With the lightest bow I have on test (76g) I did bars 23 and 24 first time. I'm getting there with the bow I think I'm going to buy (79g), and still a long way off with the heaviest bow (82g). The problem is that as the bow gets heavier, a delay in introduced between left and right hands. I'm guessing this is just something one learns with practise.
