More tips: 1) Gwen's w is most useful for parrying abilities. The armor you get from it won't help u win extended fights you would otherwise lose. 2) Gwen's e is useful not just for engaging but also for dodging key abilities in lane and in team fights such as Illaoi e, shen taunt, darius e, etc. 3) Unless you're far ahead, do not play Gwen as a Frontline bruiser. She is very squishy, and the cd on w is long. Instead, you should look to flank on Gwen in team fights and get massive aoe ults across the entire enemy team. Otherwise, during mid to late game, focus on split pushing and creating pressure on the map. 4) During the laning phase, it's important to keep your q passive stacked up as much as possible. It's your main source of damage. 5) Don't spam your ult casts and 4th stack q casts. During 1v2s, you'll prob only be able to cast one 4 stack q to outplay your opponents, so make sure to stay calm and focus on landing them properly. Use your e to close distances to make sure you get every needle to hit the opponent and kill them. In the video, the player spams his ult casts too quickly, and Jayce almost make it out alive under tower. The player should have casted e to go under tower to make it much more likely that the final ult cast would land on Jayce and kill him. 6) While resolve secondary is useful in certain matchups, gathering storm and transcendence secondary are also amazing runes that help you out scale your laning opponent and become a late game monster.

gwen my beloved! great guide as usual, I also want to point going for a much tankier build in horrible matchups does really well, as the enemy doesn't expect this much tankiness from a gwen and will often overcommit for no reason. Ult-flash is also great to engage over walls and catch people of guard, especially when they'rte grouped for an objective. One other tip that's very useful for laning in matchups vs a mobile champ is to stack the Q off the wave then Q-E in very quick succession to cover a large zone with your Q damage and quickly poke the enemy without them escaping (E into Q is often too slow to land the final hit of the Q where lies most of the burst)

Great guide as always. I don't pick her but I learned a lot about her. I didn't know that she was easy to play (but that combo will need a lot of practice) and that she struggles with lane bullies. I usually group her up with Darius, Fiora and Irelia in terms of my assumptions among top laners.

A lot of Gwen's skill comes from knowing how to space well. Spacing isn't a very easy mechanic (requires lots of playtime to get a feel for) but her q, e and r are simple. So I wouldn't say she's an easy champ, more like medium difficulty (especially since a lot of her counters are quite popular making laning quite difficult for new Gwen players eg garen, darius, yone, fiora, jax, renek etc).

Ultimately I always think spacing is incredibly important for every champion and so I don't tend to consider it and champions that have a dash tend to be a lot more forgiving with their spacing and positioning than others!

ah utility : you mean gwen R ?? make first R only 2.5 sec slow down . second R 1.5 s ec slow down "reduced " + silence for 1 sec that cancels channaling abiltieis * and that is all the utility gwen needs .

@@furyn9221 no. she does not have asilence . i am saying her utility is lacking because that is how we balanced gwen : dmg only . her R slow down does not make any sense in the first place . gwen hit u with her R she dies . that is how bad she is . all champ have burst dmg .she does not have it . she should at least be able to extend those fights with a silence of 1 sec which will not break the game but will help her with her ult .and a slow down of 2.5 sec on her first R makes sense since it does not deal dmg at all. u can make her second R do reduced slow down 20 -25-30 or even 15-20-25% for 1.5 sec or even 1 sec but her first R cannot be pathetic as not to do any fking damn thing it is a joke . the excuse they give for this is that it would be too complicated to explain when most champ abilities are paragraphs with active and passive abilities + increased flat stats.

Why does it feel that ur not a champ until lvl 6, and even after ur champ for 3 secs every 120 seconds, especially agaist Ksante and stuff? like lol agaist ranged champs she can farm every 20 seconds for a while and then got buttfucked cuz her sustain is like what, 4 hp every auto? into melles well good luck with her garbage Q range and walking inside a threat range of basically anybody is a suicide, just got a moment in a game when my Q with 4 stacks and half conq stacked did less than 100 dmg lvl4, I dunno i hate her voicelines and dont really dig the theme of some needleshop terminator, but im hearing everywhere she is op early and late, and still not seeing it even after watching and reading like 5 of these guides. I dunno maybe im just a piece of trash of human being and lol player, but still.
