Its a shame Renekton is permanently labeled as a bad late game champ while in reality he's weaker in lane then he used to be but in return also way stronger late. Like really, if you build properly and have some experience on him there's alot you can do late game and there's honestly not that many champions that can deal with you in the side lane.

Honestly it depends, if your role is pure splitpushing you may want more duelist items with a Bork and the likes, otherwise as a bruiser he doesn't scale anywhere near as bad as he used to!

The only current weakness of the champ is the movement speed imo. He gets kited by everything and its harder than ever to stick to anyone. Red buff is incredibly strong nowadays on renek, and the only must item is cleaver. Its the item that lets you 1v1 90% of the champions in toplane at every point in the game

I know its a short guide but it's very misleading with summoner spells and spell orders, it's very dependent on the player, you can go ghost, or ignite, you can start W, E, or Q depending on matchup.

If you’re up against an ap champ, maw can also be a viable pick!

nope almost alway go steraks if the enemy is not 5 ap since he has good base ad steraks shield is huge on ult and most of the time mages have cc or its better to go steraks still there are no real good mr options for renekton but maybe kaenic or maw next patch when it gets ah back

Maw is a great item, but Steraks is just too meta right now! Realistically Kaenic is indeed the choice!

Renekton also doesnt really struggle against mages, i play him in both top and mid and its simple, just farm till lvl 6 and once you got the chance E onto them and burst them down, once lvl 6 the chances theyll be able to kill you are pretty low

Not sure I'd ever recommend someone take TP on Renekton. He needs early lane presence and kill potential with ignite or at least ghost

His early game is not what it used to be, its pretty hard to kill any good player pre 6 and you actually dont need ign in any matchup to be stronger than them post 6 tbh so tp is waaay better. The only times i take ign is to match their ign, i.e garen camille riven and maybe fiora because the only way to lose those matchups is pre 6

In all fairness for solo queue ignite or ghost is perfectly viable, but top lane is so tempo based right now an early kill where your opponent has tp and you don’t even if you get the kill can put you behind massively in tempo and levels!

@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends yeah, i've been using ign lately but i just do the bauffs thing when i get a kill and cant push the wave in time. Just proxy and die cause otherwise you might be screwed for the rest of the laning phase, its so unbeliavable punishing
