One thing i wants to shair about cantilever beam, stirrup hooks in cantilever beam should be provide always at bottom 🙏as the tenstion at top and compration at bottom

You can joggle the main bars of beam to insert in between the column steel.

Yes we always do that in residential buildings..the outer edge beams of building are supported on cantilever beams which are supported on columns.

@@EverythingCivil we want to reconstruct a unused zig zag portion... So if the column establishment take place adjacent to wall we need to put a cantilever to take the load of the expanded slab thus two beam need to be put from different sides on the free end of the cantilever to take the load of wall of first floor. I think you understood.

@@EverythingCivil bhai.. maximum 4' to 5' tk k cantilever beam pr.. jispr 4" wall ka load rhega.. toh us beam ka reinforcement details kya hoga?? my contractor is using 16mm 8 bars..4 at top.. 4 at bottom.. kya yeh zaruri h?? moreover he isn't giving tapered shape at the end of it

Sir hamari site pe casted cantilever beam deshuttering ke baad gir gyi wo column me rebire karke kiya gya tha 910mm length ka beam at or jis column me tie hua tha usme 10d= 10X12=120 andar gya tab vi 600X200 ke column me crack aa gya or wo beam gir gya mujhe lagta hai atleast agar wo 600 wale column me 30 clearcover kaat ke 570 column me through janatha or 340 L shape me bend hona tha ye nhi hua sayad essi liye ye cantilever beam gir gya

Wo to apke beam ke loading aur beam ki span pe depend karta hai actually maine to yuhi keh diya. Apko us loading ke hisab se hilti grouting karwana chahti required depth ka. Ap load submit karoge hilti wale ko wo apko denge depth kitni rakhna hai.

Hook of stirrups in centilever beam will be downward not upward . Hook will be downward with right left alteration. Kesa engineer hai re ? I am an electronics engineer, even I can catch your fault 😅
