Lorena Vargas, Physical Therapist, explains the "typical" motor development of the 3-month-old baby. At 3 months, the baby is able to visually follow objects from side to side and his head stays longer in mid-line. The baby is already able to bring both hands to the middle and they are more open and active for exploring toys. On their belly, they have better control of their head, and the neck, shoulder, and trunk muscles are stronger.
