For those of you that are itchy and looking for a quick fix: Maybe you are lucky and find moldy food in your dormroom. The mold can cause an allergic reaction and make your skin itchy. A few days ago i felt very itchy and had no idea where it came from. Then i discovered a moldy yoghurt next to my bed. Two days after removing it, the itching went away. Of course you should not have moldy food next to your bed in the first place :)

I had the same problem and it went away one week after taking Doxepin 25 mg which is a anti anxiety drugs but works on itching it also help in sleeping at night but you need a doctor prescription.

Stops Itching - What I learned. Think of point of skin at e.g above ankle as being itchy and how that itchy message gets sent to the brain as like a one way track that can only carry one message at a time, such as your itchiness message. The trick is to replace that message with a different message. Go to the shower and remove the shower head so it’s like a fountain tap. Then shower at close range the very hottest water you can tolerate, in fact even if you can go a little over for a second and move the hose away, then massaging as the hot water goes on is somewhat preventing the water from scalding too. Then bringing to the point of burning and stopping and then burning again replaces the message (itch) with a message that you are being burnt and the itching message being sent to your brain is kicked aside with a more important one of being burnt. That stops it. Also when you stop so quickly from the water, you experience a Euphoric release feeling too. I would do this before you go to bed and make sure the water is scalding at night if you need to get out of bed to do it. It needs to be literally always the hottest you can handle and a fraction above that for a moment or so. I would also shower hose a larger area than the itch for the euphoria release which will enhance the battle against the itch. Also taking 2 Hay Fever / Anti Histamine before bed combats it, doing both should eliminate the itch.

@@kvcavin1 I wish I could give some solution to you. Mine started with extreme itchiness around the right elbow and then on some places on my body. I guess it's a summer issue. I'm also on medications related to irregular periods. I guess that's wgat caused it. I had had oranges, too. Maybe it's an allergic reaction. But I don't recall eating anything out of the usual. I told my doctor and he gave me medications to sooth my itchiness, it got better but now the medicines are over and the problem is back. This got a bit longer. But thanks for hearing me out and I hope you find comfort soon. Also, applying vaseline helped me tremendously. So, try it out if you haven't already. If find any other solution I'll let you know. Although I guess you might have already tried out almost everything. Stay healthy.❤🌿

Another thing that cause itchiness is dry skin, avoid using soap but rather showergels. Also use every now and then a salt bath, relieves itchiness from skin and a good moisturising cream (not lotion) etc.

My recommendation for neck itching is to just stop scratching the best you can in order to not make things worse. I was born with eczema on my face and arms so every time I’m outside I get a red face...but yeah my best advice is to stop scratching so the rash doesn’t get bigger and then try to find an ointment to help.

Also the ointment I use for my arms and neck is called Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment and I got it from my dermatologist and then for my face I have a couple different types of eczema but for my eyebrows they get super flaky and dry and my dermatologist gave me Eucrisa it burns so much but it works

Did you get to see your doctor yet? Scabies is VERY itchy, spares the face/scalp usually, loves the folds, and there's not a lot of rash to see. But other things can mimic it, so it's vital to see your doctor, even for a video/telephone visit.

I use Canesten (which was also reccommended to me by a doctor) but i use it on my foot, the anti inflammatory was what I needed, while Grapeseed oil and Johoba oil worked wonders in preventing the skin from flaking, it's the red puffiness that was keeping it aggravated, the skin is thick on the bottom of my left foot so the steroid helped ease the itchy painful area

Its normal. Its only because your body is more relaxed and tired so you have less control over what your doing at night whereas during the day you can try your best to control yourself. A good way that will help calm the itch during night is taking allergy medicine with cetrazine

So umm I came here because I have been non stop itching over the weekend, I've never had any type of allergic reaction to anything before, I have seen one big hive looking bump on my shoulder a while back but it disappeared and the more I itch my body, little bumps appear where I itch then those go away. This itchiness is all over and drives me and my skin insane, I never had an allergy to anything before, except the weather.

I have the first one I went to the doctor and she just wrote me some steroid cream but it’s not going away it’s itching a lot especially at night I sometimes can’t sleep ether 😭

Sometimes I will itch and get a rash when I get my blood pressure checked. Or when they put that stretchy thing on my arm to draw blood. Or when I'm goofing around with my husband and he grabs my wrist so I can't get him. As I'm typing this comment my chin is resting on my chest a little and there is a little of my hair between my chin and chest and it's driving me crazy.

Can anyone please help? I've had unbearable itching/ crawling for 5 years.. i now have ataxia, tremors, confusion, vision problems, tingling, speech difficulty and paralysis in all my body and a burning sensation all over, dry skin, and hair loss. Numbness. I am so ill im struggling to stay alive I've been put on a waiting list for an MRI. 7 months bed ridden. The last test was clear and i dont believe its MS anymore Is this likely b12 deficiency and not MS? NHS waiting list in the UK i believe I'll die before they diagnose me. Please help.

That can be close to anaphylaxis or your breathing gets shut off. Do not let your hives get that bad! It has happened to me. You might need an epipen for whatever caused the reaction.

@@xsixpath9885 mine got better over time. What I did was to use weed less than usual and I stopped using cleaning detergents. I noticed that the itching subsided and now I'm still smoking but on a smaller scale.

Dr please help. I itch no rashes anywhere clear skin itches so bad i want to cut my skin off especially my back have boils under my armpits derm said i have folliculitis does that cause severe itching and it most times a stinging itch
