One of the most amazing things about TOS is the On Demand feature. It allows you to replay real market conditions in a simulated environment. You can practice reading charts, entries etc... any time of the day with no risk. Another feature I love is being able to set alerts on trendlines and not just on a static price. Thanks for the video, Ross!

Great video Ross... Im a totally newbie to day trading. My account is set to only 3 day trades per 5 business days. How can I change that to unlimited trades? Thanks
@DaytradeWarrior3 жыл бұрын
Hey Mitchell, As you may know the United States has what's called the Pattern Day Trader (PDT) Rule. That means you need a minimum of $25,000 cash balance in your broker account in order to day trade more than 3x in a 5 day period. Since most traders take 3-5 trades per day, they are considered Pattern Day Traders. Many of our new students don't have $25k. There are brokers that are based off shore that do not adhere to the PDT rule such as Trade Zero (non-US only) and CME Group. You can learn more here: www.warriortrading.com/pattern-day-trader-definition/ , www.warriortrading.com/how-to-day-trade-without-25k/ , and here kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXWzqXd5gq2AZ5I You can open a brokerage with as little as $500 at some places. For the rebate program, TradeZero (Non-U.S. students only) requires a minimum of $1000 to qualify for rebate and Lightspeed required $25,000. But there are brokers that require only $500 to open an account, such as CME Group. You can learn more here: www.warriortrading.com/tradezero-broker-rebate-program/ and here: www.warriortrading.com/cmeg-broker-rebate-program/ I hope that makes more sense!

If you haven't had a chance to attend yet, the best way for you to learn more about trading and how you can get started would be to join us in the next live Warrior Trading webinar. The webinar is free to join, and you will receive a copy of Ross' best selling ebook "How To Day Trade" just for sticking around until the Q&A! 1) THANK YOU! I had no idea why I always felt like I was behind on trades. Turns out, it was because I was! 2) In your chat today, you showed how you can make advanced orders with your platform. FYI TD Ameritrade has that capability as well. (I am a Mac user so it might be different for a PC) I hit "command" and click and it opens up buy/sell choices that are not available on the ladder.

yep I've seen that, but I don't find it's as easy to use so idk, I don't use it.

Thank you so much. I am desperate to have my software go faster. I was not aware that I was getting delayed quotes. Other things have been going slow as well. I was planning to give up on TOS. I changed the setting you suggested and will give TOS more time.

Ross, By the way, you are an awesome trader, kudos!!! Anyhow, in this video, you used buy the ask instead of buy the market. Is not the market at a lower price than the ask? What is the logical rational Ross? Thank you sincerely, John
@DaytradeWarrior3 жыл бұрын
Hey John, I always try to sell on the ask to get the best price, I will sometimes sell on the bid if I can't get filled on the ask. Selling on the ask is an order that requires you to wait for a buyer to come to you, while selling on the bid is an order that occurs instantly. When I'm buying, I always buy on the ask so I can get in quickly!

Thanks for the video. Very interesting. Is AT used for purchasing options as well? Or only to buy shares?

Hi Ross, or any one with futures trading experience, what is the best brokerage firm for futures trading (nasdaq 100), I have been using TOS but the commission is too high. I wanted to use Interactive brokers but you said you dont like them. Any suggestion is appreciated.

These are two offshore brokers that people in our community or our educators have used that you can research. For accounts under $25,000 (as little as $500), you can take a look at CME Group (US and all international residents except Canada). CME Group review: www.warriortrading.com/capital-markets-elite-group-review/ CME Group Rebate Program: www.warriortrading.com/cmeg-broker-rebate-program/ CME Group website: cmelitegroup.com For accounts under $25,000 Minimum deposit of $1000 available to anyone outside of the USA Even Canadians: TradeZero review: www.warriortrading.com/trade-zero-broker-review-how-it-matches-up/ TradeZero WT rebate program: www.warriortrading.com/tradezero-broker-rebate-program/ TradeZero website: tradezero.co/

Awesome video Ross! I have a quick question for you on quantity buttons that I see on Active trader. In your case you have it as 1k, 3k, 5k, 10k, In my TOS, I have it as 100, 300, 500 .... is there a way to customize that ?
@DaytradeWarrior5 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can reachout to TD Ameritrade and they'll help you change those default order sizes.

Couple things... make sure you have a 64 bit machine. If you are still running 32 bit, well, don't complain. Another thing. TOS does not multi-thread. So your fancy quad core cpu is doing you no good. Open resource monitor and switch to CPU and you will see TOS is all on 1 CPU. Here's how to fix that issue. TOS will allow you open multiple sessions of TOS. Save grid layouts, open multiple sessions and put a different grid on each session. Works great with multiple monitors. Check resource monitor again and you will see that each session is running on a different CPU now and CPU usage % for those TOS applications can be cut in half or even more.

Ross, just came across this video. So powerful. Thank you. Have a QUESTION: suppose you have 5 trades going. And you see the market changing. Is there a button or setting in ToS that makes you flat across all your trades with press of one button? Most helpful when market is plunging. Thank you.

Thanks for watching! Ross uses hot keys so that he can enter and exit trades quickly. Hot keys are available with TDA but Ross no longer uses them as his broker. Ross trades with Lightspeed as his broker, eSignal for charts, and the Warrior Trading Stock Scanners to find stocks that match his strategy. www.warriortrading.com/scanners/

Hey Ross, hope u r doing good. thanks for the valuable settings!! I have couple of questions 1. I saw you 1000 shares 3 times = 3000, then sold 1000 shares 2 times = 2000 (was the sell by market order?) 2. Then you sold the last 1000 fractionally, can we do that on TD by changing share size and executing from Active trader ? Thanks in advance
