@Markie Linhart paradiddles can be difficult to master, but they are worth the trouble to get right. The trick is to play them slowly to get the feel right, especially with the accents, then the speed will come over time. Patience is key. Good luck

@@BeatmastersGuild thanks to a drummer friend I think I’ve cracked the paradiddle. Instead of L R L L and then switching to R L R R - and that switch is the mental stumbling block for a beginner - I now go DOWN UP TAP TAP DOWN UP TAP TAP starting as a leftie and it now flows from L to R to R to L. etc. Now I’ll work on your beat variations so thanks again! 👏🇦🇺✌️
