Hi Román! I wanted to say that I hope 300 years from now your music will seen as a gift and beauty -you are a brilliant composer and master of counterpoint. This is truly an art that needs to recognized and you should be encouraged. When I hear your works, they are reminiscent of of the mastery of old. If you ever need a motif, please feel free to use any of my strange improvs. I lack the ability to develop my ideas beyond what just pops out. But you, you have structure, feeling, and themes that are well created. I just really enjoy hearing new old music. and it inspires me. If anyone ever nay says about what you share, take pride. Bach wasn't understood until later. Create what you feel and what you love. This is your art! May you find good inspiration today and continued passion in what you write:)

I hope it doesn't need all 300 years to be recognized

I can hear this as an organ voluntary after a church service, with the lowest voice in the pedals, great work. Really like your style.

The D major version of the theme is like "Twinkle Twinkle" on steroids haha (a compliment, of course!)

This is very good; while it's not quite as good as Bach, it's among the closest I've found of people still composing counterpoint to what Bach achieved, particularly the harmonic progressions and the modulations, and all the contrapuntal techniques used. I'd be very curious to know how you go about making something like this, as I assume there is some method to it, almost like a mathematical approach; when I try to do the same it always ends up sounding awful, and I can never fit any of it together into a coherent whole.

Thank you. The technical part is learning to improvise figured bass and partimento exercises. Then there are the muses, which comes from the heart, they have more to do with spirituality. Bach developed these two things to the maximum (probably because of his great devotion). But it doesn't help to compare yourself to him.

@@namor_onac: Thanks for the tip, I guess more exercise is the key, as with most things; maybe something I'd have to devote more time to as a hobby to get anywhere, I suppose. Not that I will be writing any _Contrapunctus 8_ anytime soon anyway.

@namor_onac2 жыл бұрын
