2:37 The old kerbal tradition of getting out to push when your spacecraft is out of gas.
@SvetlinTotev7 жыл бұрын
8:04 "I'm not gonna use the engine", "I'm just gonna transfer fuel" . Yeah like that one time when you "just transferred fuel" propelling your spacecraft due to the teleportation of mass from one tank to another. I don't trust you.

Main problem when using it on larger scales: Infernal Robotics has a habit of part drift, you end up having the entire craft spin a lot. I may have tried doing a science mode where my intention was to unlock that and then use it for practically everything.

@LadyWildlower7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he did make a video going to the moon and so. I watched it. It's just when you use it on a much larger scale, like interplanetary stuff. Part drift causes your rotatrons to, well, drift, causing your ship to spin when you turn it on.

Nuclear advocate here, but yes, LFTR has problems notably LFTR problems: Protactinium isolation = proliferation risk Depending on the geometry, loss of breeder blanket can cause prompt critical reaction if axial neutron internal reflections increase via breeder blanket absorption loss absence. Runs on highly enriched fuel 90-93% (which is unlicenseable for commercial reactors) Nobel metal plating out on heat exchanger Low power density in core (core is HUGE compared to water moderation cause carbon is not as good) Graphite life time and maintenance issues Fissile inventory tracking issues (it is easy to track fuel rods and pebbles) Salt Pump longevity issues Cold slug reactivity issues I could go on but yall get the point Other more humble MSRs are more likely to come about first, or even moreso pebble bed reactors that use salt coolant (like what UC Berkeley and Oak Ridge are working on).

Heh, well if you are on twitter I tweet about nuclear stuff all the time over @BeCurieUs :D. The guys over at Thirdway have a bunch of good stuff to read on advanced nuclear as well. Just google that, Advanced Nuclear 101 , and that will get you the tiny rundown on some of the advanced concepts out there for nuclear. They are all going to need a lot of engineering to make work right, but I am happy to be that engineer that helps make it so! I have a youtube channel that I have neglected since I started school, but I plan to get back to it here soon (*flogs self*), so I will talk about nuance of reactor stuff there at becurieus1 youtube channel. Forgive me for self promoting on your page, Scott!

Dear Scott, I lost interest in KSP, but not for any bad reasons. Its a good one. Recently, I had a real bad cold, the coughing fits got so bad, I couldn't sleep, worse, the pain. This all happened because of an incompetent medical staff in the little town I live in, who refused me an urgent consultation, not once, but four times. Then, on the 13th of this month, I was admitted to hospital to have nearly four liters of fluid drained from my right lung. Had I not gone in, I wouldn't have lasted the weekend. So, now I am home and no interest in playing any games. Your videos always motivated me to try harder in KSP, and I seriously hope you can work your magic again to get me playing the game. So, thanks for being you, thanks for the great videos and thanks for being a Scotsman... I admire you almost as much as Billy Connelly. Keep the videos coming and I hope you can reignite my passion for KSP. :)

You think that the landing on minmus was hard but I landed on the mun with no SAS, no landing gear and a deployed antenna that I needed to protect. fortunately I had massively over-designed on the probe that was designed to simply fly by and had 2km/s delta v after getting into orbit, the probe was also top heavy and unbalanced.
@jasonpatterson80917 жыл бұрын
This should be really easy except for a couple of spots - getting into orbit is finicky (but doable, as shown), which leaves Tylo as the main challenge. Finding a spot where you can land and later take off without destroying your ship, as well as the ROV refueling that it's going to require... Unpleasant. That and the boredom of all of the refueling required.
