Courtney, Your ideas are AWESOME and great for a budget friendly project. Coming from a family of carpenters and always having scraps of wood around - as a child I fell in love with making cool crafts out of little pieces of wood and back then in the 60s/70s we only had Elmer's Glue but, some of our projects have lasted with the original glue drops. Anyway, as an adult I still am very fond of little projects with scraps of wood. I loved your USA blocks and I think after work today I will have to hit the scrap bin at Home Depot - as anything in the scrap bin if it is under a foot long it is free. My grandmother who has since passed use to own a fabric store and fabric is also my weakness so at the Variety store I am always hitting their scrap bin. I am a collector of patriotic fabric and I use it in many different ways. I also have a new bottle of mod podge I picked up at the DT calling my name. There isn't any craft sales to go to this weekend so I plan on being creative in the comfort of my home. Last summer at our county fair the sheriffs office was giving away 3 inch stars made out of a thin cork and I have been using it as a pattern to cut out stars out of card stock and fabric but the other day I put it into my stamp pad and wow - I have my own cool stamp with a textured look - gives it a speckled look with the indentions of the cork. With warm water and gentle rubbing the ink washes off so I can reuse the star. I couldn't sleep early on at night May 21 and so I got up to see if any of my favorites made a video on May 21st and was so happy to see you made one. It is now after 4am and I will have to reset my alarm clock now to get up later than I had planned. Luckily I do not have to be into work on Wed until 8:30 and I live close by. I kept telling myself one more video and your video is the last for tonight - or I should say early morning. Save the best for last. Thank you again for awesome ideas. I already have stencils of letters although the style is not as nice as yours I will use them and might add a thin dark like to add depth to each letter to make them stand out more being that mine are not as nice as your stencil. I love how you grouped your fabric together to make your bow - so very cool. I hope you have a great Memorial Day. I usually spend it alone with my guinea pig in years past and always decorated her cage with mini flags but, she passed away in March so it will just be me for the holiday. I am very content being alone. I am never bored, I always have my creative juices going and I always have house work to do and have been wanting to make a couple different projects on the sewing machine. I have been also wanting to make a new sewing table with wood and crates so may do that on Monday. Thanks again and sorry so long, Rebekah in Alexandria, VA

I don't decorate like I used to for holidays because our kids are grown, but I love watching what other people are doing. I'm living vicariously through you!!! Lol. Karen Reeves don’t give up! I walked into DT yesterday for a last minute card and BOOM the crafters square cart was out and the lady let me look in boxes! I went back today and so much more was on the shelves that I didn’t see yesterday and she has plenty more in the back! Keep checking! They had a whole new crew come in and redo the store! If you get these items, you are gonna freak out! Fall is even being put out, well florals and some cute garlands and ribbon that I’ve only seen one time last year! I was over stalking them daily🤪and got blown away! Still can’t find the stars or that patriotic red truck but she sayes not every store will be the same but you’ll love the new addition. I saw stuff at mine that I’ve not seen one you tuber share! Don’t give up honey!🥰

I made this ruler star last year. I left the sticky strips on while I painted then pulled them off when dry. It worked well. :)
