Man I must say you are now one of my current favorite musicians who reviews gear on KZbin. I’ve been here since 2006 so I’ve been around for awhile, seen many come and go. As a fellow musician who has a few gear demos who needs to get back into it, you inspire me. It takes a lot to impress me.

Hi Guys n Dolls: for the BluesBreaker Enthusiasts: you can get a quite similar sound : Tomsline Bluesy > Nobels ODR-1! the Bluesy( still got it, sold the Nobels) is great by itself: with the ODR-1 the tone gets the bass! I know the Bluesbreaker pedals are hard to find, so thats why yhe info...( the Bluesy is like 30€, the mini ODR-1 like 80€...)😎

Its wrong information. There was NO 1960's fuzz sound from that JH pedal. There was NO famous vintage sound from that MXR pedal. When are YOU going to wake-up?

MXR requires multiple pedals to activate the famous vintage sound. They can't activate the famous vintage sound by themselves. Jimi hendrix pedals can't activate the famous sound by themselves as well. They're NOT general purpose designs. You're crazy.

I so need a Bluesbreaker pedal.. I have a Boss BD2 that is nice but can always use an other pedal haha 😄 We are like the stereo type put on woman and shoes with pedals 🤣

Great video as always! This demonstrates perfectly why, most of the time, I prefer using combinations of overdrive and distortion pedals to my amp distortion (OR15 which I love the sounds of BTW). It's just so versatile for gain staging and exploring sounds.
@dreyn77802 жыл бұрын
Wrong. The jimi hendrix fuzz pedal won't activate the fuzz sound without 3 other pedals from the JH brand. You've got hearing problems. There was NO 1960's fuzz sound in this wrong information video. 1 MXR pedal cannot activate the famous vintage sound. JH pedals MUST be in a set before they'll activate the sound.

You need to get your ears checked cause that MXR and the jimi hendrix fuzz pedals didn't activate their famous vintage sounds. You can't get them to work by themselves. They only work in brand exclusive SETs.

Trem after reverb!

Yeah you can have them either way round, trem after reverb is great for choppy modern sounds. I found reverb after trem gave a more vintage sound like the sound of trem and reverb in vintage amps.

Hi Michael, your video is AWESOME, it gave me a lot of inspiration to build an effect chain, so all the pedals involved are now famous, and through your video I can also learn about the sounds and settings of those pedals, thank you so much for your sharing. @dreyn77802 жыл бұрын
You're not allowed to do this. MXR IS a professional SET and they can't activate the famous vintage sound by itself. The jimi hendrix pedal is worse than MXR's little exclusive electrical trick, cause it doesn't work outside the SET of JH pedals. It contains an exclusive electrical trick which requires 4 exclusive pedals. None of those pedals will work by themselves. Its such a exclusive trick, if you're missing 1 out of the SET, none of them work. So you'll have to swap out that exclusive JH pedal for a general purpose dunlop pedal BUT don't forget the dunlop general purpose fuzz pedal REQUIRES the dunlop rotovibe pedal at the end. If you don't use the rotovibe pedal, the fuzz won't activate. One day you'll wake-up and realize you're not allowed to put MXR and dunlop with other brands products. Electrically they're exclusive pedals. You yourself played the jimi hendrix pedal and THERE WAS NO Fuzz Sound. No recognizable 1960's fuzz sound.
