SEC fan here, I wrote off Penn State winning this game, but those lions came to play. Ik Oregon led the whole time, but Penn State was never truly out of it. As for Oregon, I'm real impressed by them. Yet to win a title but playing some elite football these past few seasons. It proves even without Bo Nix they have a good team. I may not agree with every team's ranking in the top 12 but Oregon, Ohio State, and Penn State BIG10 has some great teams. Much respect.

@dope_humorАй бұрын
@@stephenjones6030 both teams got away with several PIs in that game, it wasn't just one. But people like to paint a narrative that the refs always bail OSU out. While it does happen sometimes, we also get screwed in big games. In the Oregon game, they screwed Oregon on the first drive by overturning the INT. Then to make up for it, they just completely screwed Ohio State on the last drive by ignoring two very obvious DPIs that would've put OSU in a potential TD range, and instead called OPI on a WR for getting a DB's hands off him (and the DB was doing a blatant PI), thus putting OSU completely out of FG range. We did the work to win the game, but the refs just decided it wasn't gonna happen. Then Will Howard slid down with 1 second left on the clock but the fans rushed the field and they didn't feel like clearing it, so they just called it game even though OSU clearly called timeout. Plus Oregon also deliberately committed a penalty to take time off the clock. Not trying to discredit Oregon for this historic season but the way they beat us was cheap in many ways and everyone's acting like they're the next big thing. Recruits are flocking there like Lanning is the reincarnation of Bear Bryant or Nick Saban. And this idea that PSU can't win big games is a bit unfair. They're in a conference where they're usually the 3rd best team. They often beat outside foes. Calling them a failure would be like calling LSU or Ole Miss a failure every year bc they play in the same conference as Alabama and Georgia and thus they don't win their top 5 matchups. Right now PSU is not far behind Oregon and OSU. However, James Franklin might be the only coach in CFB who is more talented at screwing up a big game endgame than Ryan Day.

The last time Oregon was in the natty, their top receiver was Byron Marshall, a converted RB. By the final game, the Ducks had lost their top 2 WRs due to season ending injuries, their top TE due to an even more gruesome injury, and then their dumbass WR3 got his ass suspended for smoking weed right after the semifinal game against FSU. But this year Oregon is gonna have it full complement of WRs and TEs healthy for the playoffs. Tez got hurt but looks like he is nearly back to full strength and will get a nice 3 weeks worth of bye weeks to heal up some more.

Penn State outplayed Oregon? They gave up 45 points.
@briansmith5871Ай бұрын
@lewisg1736 there's pretty much a pick 6 in there, but okay technically yes 45 points, it doesn't matter what the score is, one team can outplay another at the line of scrimmage. There's this thing called a box score, you should look into it, and yes I know the box score doesn't paint the true picture, but it certainly reveals what's already watched, and from my point of view Penn State ran all over Oregon, which is the heart and soul of any line of scrimmage. It's simple, Oregon has a much better QB and a much better Head Coach, those two things are why Oregon won, mistake free QB play and a coach who isn't a bonehead, Gabriel is arguably the best QB in College, and Lanning is arguably the best coach. You can win in the trenches yet still lose the game, is all I'm saying.
@JasonTriplett-v4cАй бұрын
Didn’t expect either teams offense to play as well as they did, good thing I don’t bet on sports. I didn’t see us scoring 45 points on that defense, didn’t see Penn State gashing us for almost 300 yards in kind. DG was clutch and saved our ass

The score is not to follow. Jump farther in game than one point plus the touch down, sometime important with miss. Also is small time for Explanation d' Flag Yellow from the jodge of game play, sometime the jump from one play normal to next the play normal, with no explanation of penalty flag of yellow. There is the Matt Highlight (now #2 sad for copyright) much good with the cut in video. You can maybe take the example him from!! It is long game. I am sorry that English is not good. I like am happy for the Football Americana game to look! Much blessing from the Odin and the Gods. Cheer.

Ironically Penn State got arguably a more favorable schedule by losing to Oregon. They do have to play an extra game, but they are facing SMU at home, Boise on a neutral field, and then the other side of their draw is Indiana, ND, and a Georgia team which might not have Carson Beck. Could be a nice straight shot right to the finals. Meanwhile Oregon has to play one of Ohio State or Tennessee right off the bat, and then likely have to go play Texas in the state of Texas in the cotton bowl, just to get to the finals.
