Their lack of discipline made me cringe. They're taking him on the walk, rather than him walking the dogs. Before you take dogs out into public, have them somewhat trained. I wouldn't ever take 3 untrained dogs out at once because they are very difficult to handle. Any untrained dog can turn a situation into a fight - pit bull or not. Rigor Mortiis Disciplining your dog and showing it who's the boss can be done without the dog becoming afraid of you. These dogs were very well behaved and they're all obviously a bit young so of course they'd be really excited in a petstore. However, the constant pulling shows that they don't really see their owner as the authority. Even if they were excited, the should know how to walk with their owner properly
@tatyannabutler676 жыл бұрын
Rigor Mortiis I've seen plenty of dogs that know how to walk on a leash properly. And actually, I have a pitbull mix and and Staffordshire/pit mix. I bring them to pet stores and stuff like that all the time, although they of course do get over excited, they know how to walk with me and not pull me all over the place.
@laylas43006 жыл бұрын
RIgor Mortis. Sorry but no, I have 2 over 100lb Pitbulls and a Mastiff and I take all of them in the pet store at the same time and none of them pull. The dogs are clearly overstimulated like you said, which just tells me the owner doesn't expose them enough to things like that and those dogs are probably kept in a kennel somewhere.

They are just excited. Kids are the same when they see new stuff, doesn't mean they will turn into disobedient maniacs and aggressive humans :))) I don't think you can have 3 pits and not socialize them or make them listen. It might just depend on the occasion
@EmilyColleen276 жыл бұрын
I don't believe they are aggressive. Just eager and excited. It's a good idea to keep them socialized. That being said the owner clearly has no control over them. It makes him look incompetent in training his dogs. Also, pet store good idea....pet store with small prey animals like bunnies and what looked like guinea fouls...no bad idea. Here's why...Your alerting a prey drive in the dogs. That can happen with any breed, until you have some damn control over them you shouldn't introduce them to that volatile situation. Small game such as bunnies, guineas, chickens etc. You can kill them by simply frightening them it does not take much especially for pet breeds of rabbits. It's cruel. All of this is just blatant disregard for the animals around him and ignorance. Lack of control=lack of intelligence. Bad combo for power breed owners.
@robynwilson92276 жыл бұрын

JocMonster Well if u think about it, a pitbull (and most breeds) living in the wild or on the streets would be vicious and dangerous. So I would say that most dogs are inherently aggressive but can be easily trained to be more civil.
@natashka19828 жыл бұрын
Dogs living in the wild would be feral dogs, and any feral creature can be aggressive since fear aggression is a number one cause for attacks. Dogs are not inherently aggressive, but untrained and unsocialized dogs will be fearful, thus aggressive cause of a need to defend themselves. Look up "feral humans", they are basically wild children with mental disorders cause of being in the wild.

@robinrichardson83369 жыл бұрын
bestlogicmaster you didn't answer my question so I see you're just an misinformed idiot trying to spread as much negativity about this breed as you can..if you knew your facts correctly (which you don't) this breed was NOT bred to fight and kill humans. It was bred to help humans take down large prey. Fighting this breed became popular in the 70's unfortunately that was the beginning of ruining this breeds good name and labeling it as a bad breed. This breed was also called the nanny dog because of their good nature and love for people. Bad and careless owners have made a bad name for this dog. No baby should be left alone with ANY breed of dog,yet again bad owners.I've only owned this breed I've never had a problem with them,very loving ,loyal ,smart and best snugglers ever. ***** Ok Monica, it's maybe a question of media manipulation. How many people get killed by other people, including car crashes etc? how many people get trampled by cattle or stung by snakes or scorpions? How many people kill themselves? Brianna Harter You're half right and so is the poster. Fear is a big cause of aggression but these dogs are in total control. Not long before they scare another dog into defending itself, get into a pack fight and find out how much fun it is to fight. This guy has no business with these 3 at once. I bet a grand he can't control one. The harness tells me that. They are in training all right...training the human to get pulled around. Fail on all levels.

My comment has nothing to do with the fact that these are pit-bulls, but this guy can't control his dogs, regardless of the breed. They're all pulling him, which has everything to do with the fact that he's using harnesses on them vs. collars. The ONLY reason you use a harness on an animal is if they're pulling a cart/wagon or a sled. Their leashes are all getting caught in addition them looking at the bunnies as if they were on the menu. Again, nothing to do with pits, but what if one of their prey drive instincts kicked in and they attacked the bunnies? This guy was irresponsible for bringing all three in at the same time. It's most definitely an ego thing. There's literally no reason for him to have all three out together like that in a pet store, on top of which he got filmed.

Nice video to show that the Pitbull is just like other dogs, but sadly this video shows 3 over-exited dogs that demonstrate no control. Just like every dog, pitbulls need training and boundaries. Remember that from over-exitement to agresion there is a very thin line. You have 3 beautiful dogs!
@rachaelshockey815510 жыл бұрын
Did you hear in the video? All 3 are still puppies. And they seem like smart inquisitive dogs, and smart inquisitive dogs sometimes choose to not listen to your commands anyway :p ask my boyfriends 8 month old lab mix
@emilvazquez499 жыл бұрын
Rachael Shockey I understand they are puppies but as pit owner my self I started training my blue nose puppy as soon as he was separated from his mom. The first think one should always teach a dog, any dog, is boundaries. The NO command is the most important command. I did not take my dog to a public place until that command was second nature to him (First outing was to a PetSmart at 6 month old). Pits are a strung breed and need to be balanced, they need to be exercised and disciplined to prevent over excitement, which is a precursor to aggression. It doesn't matter how young or smart the dog is. Good training by the owner is a MOST for strung breed owners. That way we'll help put aside all the discrimination that strung breed dogs have been subjected to all these years, particularly Pits, and give a good example of what the strung breed dogs are all about, well balanced, loving and obedient dogs. And all of this is not to say that the dogs on the video are completely out of control or that they are aggressive dogs, is just that more training is needed, specially if they are to be taken to public places were children, dogs or other animals can excite them. Then again, this is just my point of view as the owner of a lovable Pit, I'm not claiming to be an expert at all. Just sharing my view... ;)

You should think about using a Holter for your dog's. When they Pole it will turn them around because it's strapped to their head which will mean not as much pulling and easier to control. We have a dog that when we got her she pulled a lot and we put the halter on her and she doesn't pull as much. They have Halter's at local pet stores.
