My problem is that social interaction is what triggers my depression. I usually get rsd from being in groups. I also have a version of chronic fatigue which means every extra thing I do like go out on a week night exhausts me for the next day or two. So I have a combination of rsd and exhaustion which for me equates to depression. If I don’t make an effort to go out I don’t get as much social anxiety and rsd but then I get fomo and loneliness after too long which also leads to depression. I don’t really know what the answer is. I just know for me it’s mostly related to constant fatigue and a feeling of being left behind as other people move on to other friends and activities without me.

I have the same symptoms. It is the ADHD + some trauma in my case. I use antidepressants, both SNRI and NDRI, helping a little bit.

@@marcinNTHEI was using SNRIs for some years. Glad you are getting some help from the ad’s. They helped for a while but wore off. I think it’s related to Adhd & childhood cptsd for me as well. It’s hard finding the balance between trying to maintain friendships and looking after my health. Advice is how much we need social connection to be happy but don’t address that it can spike stress hormones too much or create rsd. I think its a problem for many people, especially those with neuro divergent, autoimmune or other chronic health issues.
