3 Montessori Practical Life Activities for Your Toddler at Home. 3 Everyday House Chores for Your 2-Year-Old. Toddlers aged 24-36 months love being around their parents and imitating household tasks. Everyday chores can become exciting and educational activities that your toddler will enjoy participating in. Activities like cleaning up after meals, washing dishes in their functional kitchen, helping make the bed, tidying their room, cleaning bed linens with a lint roller, collecting shoes, sorting laundry, caring for plants, unloading the dishwasher, and mopping the floor are all great options. There are countless ways to involve your child in household tasks. Any chore you do regularly can be something your child will be eager to help with, as they have observed you doing it many times.
