All these theories have already been debunked. It's just that some people are still living in the past. We have plenty of manuscript evidence as well as other historical evidence now. Look at the publications by Dr Marijn or Dr Sidky - all of them points towards the traditional Muslim narrative to be true.

@Ignis no, Muhammad, as described in the Standard Islamic Narrative, didn't exist. Mecca didn't exist in the time of Muhammad.

@@SaintOtter That is impossible since the first arab translation of the bible was in 9th century ad about 300 YEARS LATER after the cannonization of the qur'an. And secondly, syrio aramaic IS NOT the HIJAZI ARABIC.

You suggesting that the Islamic claims about the Qur'an and the emperical factual original of the Qur'an are 2 different things. Maybe van Putten, Sidkey, Reynolds and many others already checked how reliable the Islamic claims are about the Qur'an and found it suffient enough to use it to contexualize the Qur'an to explain more about it.
