Just one thing, while you mentioned Charlotte doesn’t get bad winters, they make up for it during the summer because it gets crazy hot. The average high temperature in July is 90 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity is always high. I might have to move to Charlotte in a few years and the only major problem I have with that are the Summers. I’m a northerner who hates the heat and doesn’t mind the winters up north.

I wouldn’t recommend Charlotte it’s expensive and you don’t get your bang for your buck, nightlife is the same everywhere breweries and that’s it traffic from 3-6:30 bad crime so I would recommend moving to the outskirts where you’ll get your money’s worth
@MrWill19854 жыл бұрын
@@Vertro__ I'm most likely leaning towards the northern outskirts of the Charlotte metro area. Not the inner city itself. Every city has its share of crime but Baltimore is the worst. I was born and raised in Baltimore and I moved an hour north to get away from the crime and it's getting boring and people in the north are rude.
@MrWill19854 жыл бұрын
@@Vertro__ I saw on a previous comment about Charlotte that they had over 100 murders last year. Are they all domestic related? I'm originally from Baltimore and they get 330-350 murders a year and 90% of them are random homicide and the prosecutors always let criminals free including murderers

Me and my fiance are looking at a few states to move to, somewhere with opportunities, reasonable rent, decent weather, etc. We live in California, and everything is just getting too expensive here 🙁 Texas is on the top of our list as we both have a few family members there, don't know too many people in NC but based off all the things we've heard from others and research, it sounds like something to consider as well. We're giving it a year and a half or two then we'll decide, so we have time to figure it all out. Just ready to live comfortably, and maybe own a home in a few years. Oh, and I love that sweatshirt!! I live in Raleigh now, never lived in Charlotte. Raleigh is a good city. It's a small city but there is alot to do social wise. Traffic can be hectic and you definitely need a car to get around. The only public transportation here is the city bus. Crime wise, it's not bad but like any other place it just depends on where you live. Rent is definitely rising and is a problem because Raleigh is growing and different people from different regions are moving here and the market prices are reflecting that. You have the airport 20 minutes away, a couple of malls, plenty of restaurants and movie theaters. I've visited Charlotte a few times and I've enjoyed it. The people I have known to live there like it as well, but I don't have any advice on that area since I've been there on overnight stays. I know in Raleigh you can live comfortably on $30,000 a year. For either area it just depends on what you want to do socially. If you want the big city feel, head to Charlotte, if you want the small city feel with all the big city vibes head to Raleigh. To be honest, Raleigh and Charlotte are the areas to choose from if you're looking to be more social. I've been thinking about moving to Charlotte myself.
