You did an amazing job on why/why not to watch...I have read through my bible in a year, many, many times, but I will have to say The Chosen has brought the many healings, casting out demons along with how God so loved us and Jesus love and obedience to God has helped me to see it more clearly from God's view point...it's hard to explain, but it's like the blinders have been removed and I see the whole picture and not through a tunnel ...I give thanks to our God Almighty!!!

This was good, Brandon. LDS is so very far from Christianity. I never knew much about it, but have done some reading on it. The content of the show does not reflect Mormon/LDS beliefs, at least so far. I have found myself getting way too into the show, so I will be stepping away for a couple weeks. Good luck at Chosen Con! It looks like you have an interview with Amanda? Grafted guys will be there, too and I love their content. I will catch up on your videos in a couple weeks.😊👍

Great job Brandon! "The Chosen" is a delight! To me, it brings the Bible to life. The actors are awesome. The way they perceive God is their business and between them and God, and no one else. Dallas is a good person. I love his energy and commitment to God. I'm a big!!!! fan.😊

Great video! I've been asking God for wisdom because I do have a reading issue that makes it hard for me to read my Bible at times. Even with secular books, I have a major problem. I've been attempting to read a few verses at a time and meditate on those. And, I'm trying to listen to the audio Bible as well. The show has helped me to remember the Scripture that is in it because simply reading it, I have a difficult time. God is helping me with that and showing me unique ways to get the Word in me, and the show is one of those things.

Great video Brandon! I see The Chosen as an encouraging tool. It is not the Bible, but it is helpful in pointing to to the Bible, and to Jesus. It is sad that some people have been very critical of The Chosen, when it has been a great thing for so many people.

One important point to remember is that in the OT, after the Great Exile was over and the Hebrew people left Babylon, God commissioned the temple to be, and was, therefore, rebuilt with resources provided by Persian empire founder Cyrus the Great. Babylon fell to Cyrus the Great in 539 BC. By God’s decree, Cyrus allowed the exiled Jews to return to their land and rebuild Jerusalem. The second temple was completed in 516 BC. Whose resources (non-Jews) were used to rebuild the temple and by by whose orders? GOD’s! Same as The Chosen. Whose resources are being used to finance this production-no matter where the resources appear to come from? GOD’s! Glory to God alone 🎉✝️🙌🏽

Actually, The Chosen is what got me back into reading and studying my Bible. The show was sent into my life while I was in my darkest hours. I'm a recovering addict and remain clean because of Yeshua/Jesus ❤

Watching the chosen doesn't make me not read the Bible, but it makes me feel good. Sometimes when I'm sad, bored, and feeling not myself I watch the chosen and feel happy 😅.

Like Jesus said ... it doesn't matter what's put in front of you. You will reject it. Jesus said; Do not miss it. This is a beautiful show. It's not accurate to scripture but it s for the most part and Yes Jesus is the law. He is the word‼ besides the passion of the Christ The Chosen is an amazing show. Good points. I study the Bible. I can see comparisons to scripture. I think all the actors do a wonderful job in portraying their characters. No one should ever put them up higher than God. They are not perfect only Jesus was perfect and sinless

Requiring that all persons associated with any production is hypocritical, if thought is put into it. There is NO production, even the printing of bibles, that is held to that standard. In short, if you hold to that standard, you can't watch anything, read anything, eat anything (not raised or grown by yourself), use any carrier service, use a computer operating service, or even own or operate a vehicle...in fact, unless you built the structure you live in, you shouldn't be living there.

I know nothing about mormons, latter day church, or even catholics, I am a christian, evangelical, and a bible believer. When this scene first aired, when the guy says, " If you do not renounce your words, we will be forced to follow the law of moses." My mind went immediately to moses at the burning bush. That is where moses was confronted by the Godhead, father, son, and holy spirit. Jesus is THE WORD, and THE LAW was given to moses by THE WORD, whom is Jesus, so His statement was completely factual, and truth. I am the law of moses. He is the one who gave the law TO moses. He was there! All of this ran through my brain in an instant before the line in the chosen was spoken by Johathan.

Loved how you explained the negative views some people have about the Chosen and how you made it clear that we all need to read the Word of God to be clear on the things we know to be true about Christ! The Chosen helped me focus on my relationship to God through Christ and the importance of speaking the truth in love. 🙏🏾😇✝️

The bottom line is the chosen helps bring people closer to God and not further away. That is only a good thing. As for the accuracy. I love the great escape movie, its brilliant entertainment from the 60s but the book is far more factual. Yet the film helps me to appreciate the book more. Likewise what the chosen does with the bible. May God continue to bless the show and creators as a ministry tool for Christ!

The Chosen brings me closer to the gospels, Jesus, and the Disciples through as a visual standpoint. Gives a solid imagery of what things could have been like during during the time of Christ or even through seeing the sets as well. The messages behind what they bring throughout each episode can definitely relate to someone in someway. And I really enjoy the humor within the show. Your video was all well said!

This is the best and most honest discussion I have seen responding to critics of The Chosen and their reasons not to watch it. I appreciate your honesty in saying that you agree that not everyone should watch it and why. Like you, I was saved as a young child and no stranger to the Bible. But also like you, since watching The Chosen I have been inspired to dive deeper into my Bible than ever before and as a result my personal relationship with Jesus has deepened in a way I never thought possible. I am most appreciative of how accurately The Chosen has portrayed the people of that time period and how and where they lived. That has enhanced my reading and understanding of the Bible so much. So thank you for acknowledging that there are legitimate reasons why certain people should not watch The Chosen while also explaining how the show can inspire people to grow in their faith and relationship with Christ and in general to just be pleasantly entertained with a great quality historical drama.

awesome vid. I am fed up with being gaslit with the bible and so called Christians and scruples assuming about me if I watch it I am bad or deceived. This is a tv show. and when I see it I have a connection with it as I do other shows. It led me as well to read scripture, to look at history of the era, and dig dig dig into the word, so tired of videos trashing Jonathan's faith and others and calling them heretics because of reason this or that or any of the crew being gay, it's a show. I know Jesus is the living word, through Jesus all things are made possible, he is God, He is the light of the world and only through Him I receive salvation, a gift not a right, in my brokenness. But it is insane how people are now, they feel they need a reason to go after people who just wanna see an entertaining show. This helped me so much to learn and also cry in every episode and I connect with Mathew and also Nathaniel. each time they portray Jesus talking I feel it's to me and I weep and weep and the show led me to God when my mom was in agony, her brain got crushed and died and I HAD TO DO IT ALONE. I am alone, no relatives. jobless in my home trying to deal with bad health and I donated to the come and see foundation because the show is an instrument of God. Like listening to any gospel song. I am skeptical and like to read and research, but I also abandon myself to God's divine will. If anybody took the chosen as gospel and 100% accurate they take anything in the same way, people like that exist. but to gaslight others is just wrong and frustrating. I hope I can make a work that leads others to God like the chosen did with my artwork. This channel, like Brandon Robbins explaining SO MUCH too. also help with understanding many details. it's super fun. God bless.

No members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that I know of have taken issue with how Jesus is portrayed in The Chosen. I don't think there's been any bad influence even though they own the Goshen set. It always feels more like people are afraid of the differences but I don't think any of us need to be afraid. Coming closer to Jesus is a good thing for all of us no matter where we've started.

I used to have a couple Mormon friends (have since fallen out of touch) & in talking with them they were surprised at how many of our beliefs about Jesus were the same (yes I know there are doctrinal differences), but point being the more Mormons can become familiar with the actual content of the Bible, the better!

I’ve been a Christian since I was 16. I am now 63. I constantly seek Jesus. He is my best friend. That being said; church folk (so-called believers) have done more to damage a persons faith or faith journey than the good ole boy sitting in a tavern on Sunday morning (whom I’ve seen more Christlike behavior at times). The Christian faith is not rocket science. Those who are claiming to be carrying the banner of Christianity have to show signs of producing the fruit of the spirit. It’s our job to make disciples and to build up the Church. It’s not our job to replace the Holy Spirit. We have to be careful not to be the “brood of vipers”, the “whitewashed tomb” that Jesus constantly called out. The chosen is another tool in the toolbox and is imperfect just like a Christian.

I can't find it now, but in one of the earlier seasons/episodes, one of the Pharisees says something like "God IS the law"... & there was no social media freak out. Just saying, because someone should compare/contrast why a Pharisee would believe that in comparison to why they would freak out when Jesus said it.

In all my years of watching a Christian movie/series this is literally the best one yet beautiful acting and in many ways there are so many scenes that lead me closer to God as a Christian .....I love this movie
