Wow! I was 3 - 5 yrs old watching this. These were my favorite shows. I remember this very differently as an adult but yet it's all to familiar. The characters had so much life in my mind as a child. The best part about all of this was the Golden book logo and signature intro sound.

Heh, I always thought the baker at 4:56 looked a lot like Dingo Dog. Anyone else notice Mr. Fixit making a cameo at 11:44? The bit at 17:36 - 17:46, the "Happily Ever After" adaptation of the "Goldilocks" story had little Dudley Bear react in a similar fashion to his rocking chair being broken: "Somebody's been sitting in my chair, and he busted it up into a 'gajillion' pieces! (crying) A 'gajillion' pieces..." (18:47) Really, a cat afraid of a mouse? Now I've seen everything! Of course, the Three Little Pigs' song about the wolf is clearly a ripoff of Disney's "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" The farmer goat at 21:06 looks like Busytown resident Farmer Alfalfa.

Wasn't this the first Richard Scarry video ever written and produced? I know both this video and Old MacDonald's Farm And Other Animal Tales show the utilizations of the illustrations from the old Richard Scarry books, but none of the characters mouths and lips seemed to be moving and I couldn't even tell who the voices were. And that's why I prefer the Richard Scarry's Best Videos Ever series from Random House Home Video, instead. There were at least 6 titles consisting of ABC, Counting, Busy People, Learning Songs, Silly Stories And Songs, and Sing-Along Mother Goose.

Yep, pretty much. There was also "Get Ready For School," a Golden Step-Ahead Video that did the same "Picturemation" techniques, but was otherwise more similar to the "Best Videos Ever" series.

For example, the Big Bad Wolf theme music in my childhood nightmares sounds just like this: @ 20:32-20:38, @ 21:38-21:44, @ 22:54-23:00, @ 24:04-24:10, @ 26:01-26:06 & @ 26:33-26:39.
