I think all the members of steel panther were top notch musicians and if they really were around in the 80's, with different lyrics....or maybe not even... they would have been a major band. Satchels guitar playing is really next to none, but thats kinda expected with his background...

I wish I could find the interview but i recall seeing one where satchel was still in character but toned down a whole lot talking about his playing and basically the whole "steel panther shtick" was to gain a wider audience to that kind of guitar music especially since it wasn't very popular in the early 00s, pretty genius if you ask me
