I don't see the Lions staying put at 29 to pick a player. IMO, Holmes is going to trade up for an elite EDGE or CB (ex: Verse, Mitchell, Arnold) - OR - Holmes is going to trade down not too far (add some additional draft capital) then trade back up later in the draft.

I'm a big fan of your content. There are a lot of wannabe evaluators to weed through on KZbin. I rarely find someone who consistently provides solid informed takes. From a Cardinals fan perspective, you usually provide insightful info that rings true from our perspective, and I'm usually on board with what you choose for them. Of the several mocks I've watched so far, I can only think of a few times where I disagreed with your pick or your rationale for making it. More often than not, I would be very pleased with what you come up with for them. I personally think they're going to capitalize on the value of the #4 pick and trade down, but if they were to stick and pick, this draft would be pretty ideal. We secure arguably the top prospect in the draft in MHJ, and still come away with McKinstry and Barton at picks #27 and #35! That would be a coup. You mentioned you would likely go with the trade down and back up with LAC scenario in the next mock. That has been my thinking/hope all along. It obviously makes a ton of sense from the Cards perspective. But I actually see it making a lot of sense for the Chargers as well. I think they want an RT and they can likely have their choice of the top RT options at pick #11. They would then have two high second-round picks to either trade back up in the first for a player, or use them to build more depth. I'm curious what you think it would take for the Chargers to go for that scenario. I'm sure they would be miffed for missing out on doing the deal with the Vikings directly. So who knows how much that would affect their negotiations with the Cardinals. But if you stick to most of the charts, the Cards 2nd round pick should get it done. It's the third pick in the second round and a top-35 pick overall. Assuming the Cards made the trade-down deal with the Vikings, there is no other team that can come close to offering a package with one pick inside the top eleven and another pick in the top thirty-five. I see both of those picks being viewed as very valuable from the Chargers' perspective. I can see the Chargers trying to pry one of the other first-round picks the Cards would have after doing the deal with Minnesota, but I don't see anything higher than #11 and #27. I wrote about this in a fan post on another site. In my scenario, I have the Cardinals receiving this year's #11 and #23 from the Vikings, along with next year's first and third for pick #4 this year. Maybe the Cards throw in something later to offset things a little. But something tells me Monti can leverage the Vikings for an additional third next year, especially since they're likely going to have three third-round picks after compensatory picks are allocated. The thinking from our perspective is it's baked into the cake it will take at least three firsts to come off of pick #4. The added third next year would be a nice sweetener and insurance for the Vikings to secure their QB of the future. It would also make it easier for the Cardinals to throw in their own third next year to help sweeten the deal to move back up. To get back up to #5 with the Chargers, I have them giving the Chargers #11 and #35 this year, and their own third next year. There would be dancing and rejoicing in the streets if the Cardinals could pull it off. Let me know what you think.

Good video. I would love if the Cowboys could get Fashanu in the first and leave Tyler Smith at LG. Like you said, he’s an all pro there so even though we know he can play LT and probably be really good, it would be better to leave him where he’s most dominant at. I’d be happy with the second round pick too…..we have to address RB for sure in the 2nd or 3rd round, imo.

As a Seahawks fan, even though I really like the idea of an IOLM like Powers Johnson there, there’s no way that Mike Macdonald and John Schneider will let the best pass rusher of the draft get away from them. If Dallas Turner is there at 16, I think that’s the direction they’d go in. Hall is still developing and Nwosu and Mafe are really the only pass rushers. Taylor won’t be back next year and Jones might not either. Pairing up Turner with Nwosu and Mafe would be lethal. I like your selection, but based on what John said about OLM getting too overdrafted and overpaid, I think Dallas would be the perfect choice. Considering Murphy and Fautanu would be gone as well. BPA is their motto. Turner is that guy.

Regarding Chargers: 1. ASJ was playing Nickel a bit under Staley, but his build and inability to tackle forces him to play outside more. I would be surprised to see him play in the nickel to often under Minter, who as you said values tackling from the slot. Sainristil would really be my ideal fit here. 2. I‘m not entirely sure what to think about your chargers draft 😅 Johnny being the only sure fire starter here kinda irks me. JC would have to beat out Pipkins, and if so, you sunk 9M$ paying for him. Coleman comes into the league as much of a project as QJ, if not more. 2 of those guys in the room? I would be shocked to see much of a passing production honestly. Carson I haven’t watched to much, but I don‘t feel like he would be much of a upgrade. With the corners that were available earlier and still are at later picks, I would not feel great about that selection. In general I think, if LAC does not fill the WR Need in round 1, they will be having a problem later on. All the top WR would be gone and only „#.2“ Guys are available, which doesn’t help to much. Also, so many other good quality guys and needs available, would be tough to miss out on them because you have to take a tier 4/5 WR instead of a Tier2/3 CB or Tier 2 IOL for example

Slammed your last mocks Panthers picks. I like the Wilson pick, but passing on the cleanest IOL Barton for the 2nd ranked C then immediately giving ARZ Barton to play C with the next pick.. I could see it, but I don't love it lol. And I'd go Leggette at 39 for that Evans X role and hope CB Green fell to 65 for a man corner. This season is ALL about giving Bryce what he needs to develope, Def is going to take a back seat to that.

Also the Draft that Josh Allen(QB) was a franchise QB he just needed quality WR. I know my football and I have drafted better than the Patroits staff the last six years? TEEJ, something I'm not sure people think about when they make an argument for Xavier Worthy, or Troy Franklin in this case, going to Miami because they use motion a lot. They do, but you can only effectively motion 1 player at a time. They utilize motion to help Tyreek Hill. They're not going to waste that motion on someone less talented like Franklin only to screw over Hill. Food for thought, maybe I'm not thinking of something.

Not at 13 if they want to draft him in the 1st for the overrated 5th year option they would probably trade down. I don't think Penix makes it out of rd 1 but it could happen either way they could always give up some draft capital from next years draft (which is not as good) and get back into the tail end of the 1st or early 2nd. Thank god we have an actual GM who won't overpay we need to get a CB, OT and G and as a purely selfish move I want Fiske so badly our pass rush would be lethal. I'd like to get a WR in rounds 3-5 if one of them slips down the board.

@jameshannagan4256 trading down is taking a chance someone else gets what you want. The Seahawks have Penix's college offensive coordinator and an aging starter. I wouldn't trade down the hawks who have pick #16. Stay at 13, take Penix, and use round 2 and three for O line and CB help.

Your pick of Fiske here is a waste pick! 🍋Perhaps in the years to come, DeMeco Ryans came move him to edge. Mike Sainristil at #59. Glad you like him, but hopefully, the Texans don’t take him. We need safety or a linebacker here, more than we need a nickel corner. Bold or stupid??? Maliachi Corley? The Texans need a safety, a linebacker, and a tight end. So, naturally take a wide out with the #86 pick. Instead of picking for need, you take a “bold” pick. 😂 Corley may begin to contribute in 2025. 🤦‍♀🤦‍♀🤦‍♀

Agreed on pretty much everything you said here for the Falcons in every single round. I don't know why everyone keeps forgetting Dee Alford when talking about our CB's he has put up a 70+ pff grade 2 years in a row and is a very very good CB. Our top 3 CB's are a heck of alot better than just 1 ebeketie at edge rusher. If this sorry azz falcons front office skips on a 1st round edge rusher with 3 top tier ones available to them. After skipping one of the best free agent and trade available edge groups in a long long time. The how damn front office needs to be fired this crap is getting old. I wouldn't touch a CB til the 3rd round and mitchell who is a solid player wouldn't even be my 1st choice at CB arnold would and even he i wouldn't take in the 1st round over any of the 3 edge players or the top 3 WR's. Sorta tired of seeing Friske and Hall and Wingo and Newton guys drafted to us to over a true NT like Sweat, Mckinnley etc... We have tons of 3-4 edge players in Grady, Onyemata, Zach Harrison, Taquan Graham, and probably campbell coming back. We literally have the half dead body of 3x retired eddie goldman as our only NT. You can't trust that bum to not retire again and this scheme required a NT to run it correctly like they did with Gaines and Brown for the Rams.
