I think it’ll be like every draft. A QB will emerge during the off-season and will probably go 1 overall. If I had to make a guess right now I’d say Cam Ward. I think he’s gonna win the Heisman if he stays healthy.
@GSLINGFOOTBALL3 ай бұрын
Yeah there is always a good chance of that, heck most years that’s typically what happens. It is just a bit too early too tell, but I do agree that Ward could win the Heisman. He’s probably the favorite at this point!

@@GSLINGFOOTBALL bro right now it would be hard to argue against Travis Hunter. He’s so good at both idk where you even play him. WR makes more money though but he’s so damn good at both and the kids conditioning is through the roof.
@GSLINGFOOTBALL3 ай бұрын
@joshsherwin337 so I think he really shouldn’t worry about the money aspect, at least I hope he doesn’t, because I see him more as a corner first, WR second. Also the NFL has seen a good player like that since like Champ and Deion, so the big thing is if he is a baller, the NFL will pay him as such and he’ll reset the market, and the money will come naturally.

Redskins need a Cornerback more than a Edge
@GSLINGFOOTBALL3 ай бұрын
I think they need both pretty bad, but yeah I don’t disagree corner is probably a bigger need. It just depends if one of the top 3 corners are available. I think with where they are currently picking, EDGE might be the value.

Kennard is more of a true DE which we don't need in a 3-4. Rest of the picks hit the needs.

I see them playing a lot of multiple fronts, and I don't see that as much of a problem watching this team through the first 3 weeks, plus Baun, if resigned, is that guy!

Of course you give Kenneth Grant to the jets😒. Reasoning for Egbuka is great….youre a year ahead of yourself though, Doubs and Watson are both in year 3/4😂, other than that I like the reasoning. Corleone a dog in the run game! I’ll have check out the Center for Iowa more specifically! I watched their LG and I LOVE that dude, but I think he’s got a year still or he will likely return.
@GSLINGFOOTBALL3 ай бұрын
Oh yeah Connor Colby, he’s a dawg as well in the run game 💪 They both need work in pass pro still, but they are great athletes and really move dudes in the run game, which is clearly an issue for the Pack Attack right now! 😂 yeah I may of been a little biased on that one lol… but I couldn’t let you steal Grant this time from us, que the EVIL LAUGH, so I decided let’s go Egbuka who is a dawg as well. I think it’s probably unlikely since they haven’t drafted a WR in the first round in like over 25 years, heck Garrett Wilson was the first 1st rounder that Rodgers has thrown a TD pass too 😆 but I think Egbuka is just too talented, and I just figured with the injuries they have had, why not. Reed, Egbuka, Doubs, Watson, and Wicks for the future sounds 🔥
@josephlaeger64733 ай бұрын
Nah I’m Talking Beau Stephens. Colby is a dog in the run game and frankly all of them are but Colby is such a bad pass blocker rn at this point. I agree it’s an issue, but what will always be priority number 1 in Green Bay is pass blocking and if you can’t pass block, you won’t play, even if you’re dominant in the run. Lmfao I guess you’re allowed a homer pick every once in a while man it’s cool😂. Here’s what I’ll say about WR for the Packers…..Egbuka is cool, I like him, he’s a dawg, GB just evaluates dude on a different level I swear. Like I’m not saying they’re just so much better at drafting WR’s than everyone else because let’s be honest, they’re good, no doubt, but I wouldn’t say they’re one of the best. Point I’m trying to make though is they draft guys, with certain characteristics, with certain mentalities with certain traits, that from the outside looking in, unless you know these dudes or are a super fan of the team a WR is on and know all about them, you’ll never know what WR GB is taking. I mean you look at all the guys on that team and they are ALL 1000% bought in, they’re all great run blockers, they’re all unselfish. Idk how to describe it man, but they have their type and one that’s not necessarily bound to athletic traits like they have done with some of the other positions. That being said, Egbuka…cool! Idk if he’d be a packer because as you mentioned round 1 ordeal and 2 idk if he’s a dude who fits so I’m not gonna get my hopes up😂.

@@josephlaeger6473 Oh gotcha your talking about Stephens, I haven't watched him. I'll have to add him to the list! But yeah the Packers do draft different than most teams, they also tend to be a draft and develop type team, which most players should be treat that way in general, unfortunately it doesn't seem to happen. At the end of the day, Gutekunst is kind of hard to predict where he'll go in drafts. I would say the Packers are always one of the tougher teams to mock because of there process. Hey get your hopes up man, you got too sometimes! 😂
@josephlaeger64733 ай бұрын
Yeah I’m a big Stephens believer😂. I watched the Iowa Iowa state and loved the way he moved/played. Dude finished every play on the ground and not because he wasn’t doing good, but he had to make sure he took at least one cyclone out of the equation each play! Gutey Truely and enigma when it comes to draft I swear. Ironically J-love was maybe the only guy I saw coming and it was the one that I and many other packers fans weren’t wanting, but Gutey proved us all stupid so what do we know😂😂. Yeah the Packers are very much a draft and develop kinda squad and that goes back at minimum Ted Thompson days, but I think it even goes back to the Ron Wolf days. Green Bay is very much a home grown team, which as a fan is awesome, Gutey has added the extra wrinkle on shooting for big time FA’s which has worked out tremendously. Man I don’t even know who to get my hopes up for right now, I feel so disinterested in this class rn. From a pure talent perspective I want Travis Hunter to play Corner so bad, but his mentality and personality are not Packer qualities, and I would be SHOCKED if GB took him, and honestly his sort of me first mentality (which also is a common theme in Colorado) is something I don’t want either…..but I’m not gonna argue that the dude is insanely good at Corner and good at WR (though I agree with a recent Richard Sherman quote saying that Hunter at corner is special, while Hunter at WR is kinda lost in the shuffle)
@GSLINGFOOTBALL3 ай бұрын
@josephlaeger6473 I think Hunter is the best player in the draft! He’s the best two-way player I have watched. Off the field stuff is gonna come down to team by team, but I kinda like the Buffs and Prime, so I’m on there side. I kinda sound like Nationwide, but yeah we shall see. I need to watch that Iowa and Iowa State game, it’s one the list, gonna try to watch that one soon! The draft class as a whole is a bit of a wild card. Offensive tackle looks iffy, QB’s are very uncertain, WR class is good, but don’t see a Nabers, MHJ type player. This is a DB, DL, and RB class. So it’ll be interesting how Gutekunst and these other GM’s try to address positions in Free Agency this off-season.

Intriguing pick for Seattle, and I agree he might end up as an off-ball LB as a pro. But ask any Seattle fan about what is keeping this team from being unquestionably legit, and it is IOL (or a replacement for Abe Lucas at RT). We have the worst guards in the league atm and are still 3-0... until Geno gets his ribcage shattered while getting concussed. Even John Schenieder--who admits that he doesn't value IOL--will concede that he has to invest this time around, as his bargain basement and day 3 approach to IOL cost us the playoffs last year and is even worse this year. Christian Haynes might be ready eventually, but until then we have to survive with Laken Tomlinson and an Anthony Bradford that has regressed to the point of being unplayable. Olu is a bust and we're relying on Connor Williams coming off an ACL and signed a few weeks before the season to start at C. He's on a one year deal. The need at IOL is dire, and there is value at the position if we're picking in mid to late first round. Geno is balling, the skill positions are crushing, the defense is stifling... but ee can only go as far as the OLine allows us.
@GSLINGFOOTBALL3 ай бұрын
I cannot say anything other than THANK YOU!! Because I completely agree! I merely wanted to change it up cause I go guard/OL quite a bit, but it’s clearly the biggest need. Heck when I was watching the Pats game, I was freaking frustrated because literally the right side was just getting destroyed over and over again!! It literally almost caused them to lose that game, they just could sustain drives because of it! There defense is great, and I think they will continue to get batter barring significant injuries. Anyway, completely agree that when it comes down to it the biggest need on the team in interior OL and maybe RT even. Fant and Lucas are under contract, so we shall see if the team invest into it, but with the injuries they have had, they probably need too. On the bright side Cross has been excellent!! I have only seen him get beat really once and it was vs the Fins pass rush which is pretty good.

So here’s my opinion on Levis, he’s not consistent right now and his decision making is brutal, but I see the Sam Darnold’s, Baker Mayfield’s, Geno Smith’s out there and think Levis is just as talented as all those guys. If they give Levis the proper developmental cycle he deserves, and he has the work ethic than I think he keep him as your QB. Teams give up way too early on QB’s it seems. I would still add competition tho whether it’s the draft or free agency.

Detroit Lions first round pick it's kind of funny you have us take a guard because I was sitting there thinking that earlier today and the other day like as much as we need an edge rusher what is going to be there maybe not the talent that the Lions want and the Lions take BPA a lot of times soft BPA in Edge rusher while we're definitely not going to reach on a wide receiver in the first round we already got that in jamo we grabbed a wide receiver on the 2nd or 3rd so keeping a strength of strength God is kind of becoming my Detroit Lions weak spot good with it Alliance love my Lions not a hater matter what Detroit Lions KZbinrs say I'm a bad guy not a hater there's a difference and I'm all about making the team better and this makes the team better

@GSLINGFOOTBALL3 ай бұрын
I’m not there yet. I think Walker has been excellent this season, but I do still worry about the size as a every down edge guy. A lot of his pressures too are coming from strictly speed or spy blitzes, so I just worry about NFL blockers being able to anchor down on him. Mykel has NFL power/size and is also still super athletic, so that’s why it’s a bit tough at the moment.

@GSLINGFOOTBALL3 ай бұрын
I disagree. I feel like the way he plays leaves him vulnerable to swipes and chops way way too easily at times, his hands come in so wide. Watching his tape last season especially vs Austin Booker showcases some of those weaknesses. I think he has balance issues and is footwork still needs to be cleaned up. I’ll have to dig into the 24 tape here soon on Banks cause just from watching a couple of Texas games, he has looked better, so I certainly understand teams are drafting this guy at Tackle, but it really wouldn’t shock me if he ends up at guard where I think his strengths shine with his power and athleticism to climb and be used as a puller in space.
@marcellousharrell833 ай бұрын
@@GSLINGFOOTBALL I agree booker gave him a ton of issues last year but he looks so much improved this year. He has the unreachable things such as great athleticism, long arms, and big hands you can continue to coach him up on technical things which again he has gotten better at and gives no reason to believe he won’t take more steps forward. I guess we can just agree to disagree but he is a tackle until proven otherwise and has played very well so far this year. If he goes out and gets beat a lot by guys like jalon walker when he plays Georgia we can talk about guard more. But against Michigan d line he was great.
