The Dad in the second story, while the boy was hiding from his dad, reminds me of the game, Granny. Granny tries to kill the main character, like the Dad was trying to kill his son. Granny also says, "Where are you?" while looking for the player. The Dad also says the same thing while he is looking for his son, to kill him.

That first one was NOT what I expected, and it was a real horror story of what it takes to gain power. It shows how terribly the Other One can corrupt us and give us what we want in exchange for our immortal souls. It was sad and scary at the same time, and it was also an atypical afterlife story--it can't all be wine and roses, I guess.
