What if I told you, you can STOP saving and investing, but still live the life you want in retirement?
In this video, Jake flips the script and shows you what you can do instead of maxing out those retirement accounts, while staying on track to meet your retirement goals.
1:40 You already have enough!
4:21 You're on track without needing additional contributions
6:14 You're trading experiences for more money (missing out on what's most important)

Good video sir. What do you think about a pension paying out 48k annually but no COLA built in the pension. Also includes medical insurance at no cost. Current living expenses are $1500/month, no debt whatsoever, mortgage paid off, and combined total of $250k in etf’s, money market, and high yield savings for someone who’s 50 years old in good health. Would you recommend retirement? 13:27

Thank you! Congratulations on having a paid of mortgage and no debt - that's a great place to be. It sounds like your pension is easily covering your expenses now which is great. Do you expect your living expenses to increase at all (outside of inflation)? Assuming 3% inflation it would take about 33 years for your expenses to creep up to 48K/year. At 4% it would be 25 years. At that point you would likely need to start drawing some from your portfolio. Based on what you've provided you seem to be in a good spot!

Thank you for the prompt response. Expenses could increase I guess. I live below my means and am frugal so that helps. I am looking into living abroad. Mexico or other Latin American country or Croatia. Not sure if I would want to keep my place and rent it out for extra income or sell it and invest the proceeds. I don’t want any tenant headaches though.
