That brick floor is gorgeous. Your advice was so good!

Brick floors are a trip hazard if they're a bit uneven. I would just throw an oriental rug down that had clay colors that worked with the brick. Done! and very little expense.

I love how you explain why you’d make the changes. It’s so helpful in starting to understand how to go about figuring out what actually needs to be changed.

I am a fan of a good epoxy primer and painting the backsplash tiles. My kitchen was immediately updated with that simple fix. So inexpensive and less trouble than wasting the current tile.

In the case of the white countertop that the owner thought looked more cream when she chose it, couldn't she try warmer lights as a cheap, quick fix?

Hi Maria, do you have any videos for renters? My kitchen apartment is a dark (only little light comes from two windows in an open space kitchen/living room) Cabinets are fake honey wood and counters are laminated with what is called Milano amber. Floor is like a beige vinyl tile. I want to have it look more brighter. Would love more videos about renters, since seems that those cabinets are only options renters have 😞

Let's pretend we are all multi-millionaires and can afford to change and renovate our homes every 10 years. People get stuck in trends because it's crazy expensive to "just do away with the bar," or take out the granite countertop that was high dollar and put something else there. You may be able to afford this, but most people can't or don't want to spend all their life savings on the latest design TRENDS.😢

This is exactly why installing a timeless kitchen in the first place would have been best. It's very wasteful not to mention expensive to rip out kitchens and bathrooms every 10 years. Thanks for your comment!

The raised bar we installed allowed us to have more outlets for appliances. Does anyone regret losing their extra outlets when dropping their bar to counter height?
@vaderladyl9 ай бұрын
I think they are putting the outlets to the sides and back of the island now.
@Fuzzmom90316 күн бұрын
I kept mine. We’re a tall family and I have bar height stools. I don’t care that’s no longer “trending.” I also love how it breaks up my eat-in kitchen. My outlets are non-negotiable. Design should still be practical.

So good! So for the brick floor kitchen, would a neutral with a green grey undertone be a miss for the cabinets? If you’re scared of a color and wanted to stay in neutral territory? Or does the neutral have to be orange beige complex cream to work?

My daughter has brick flooring in her home, stainless steel counters and off white cabinets. The previous owner painted the walls red! What color do you suggest. Like in this color rescue would a beige or what be better?

What is the orange based / cream wall color in the bric kitchen?

I have Terra cotta like orange floor tile in my kitchen. There's in floor radiant heat so I can't change flooring. The cabinet paint is chipping off and is a light yellow. I don't like the color, any ideas what would go with the Terra cotta floor?

You have good ideas. Seems you also have a good command of English. So why do you need your hands to talk? It feels like I'm going to get hit in the face. Would be nice if someone could set an example and just talk clearly and keep their hands down. Or must everyone do what others do? Are we monkeys?
@arnoldtoews78689 ай бұрын
Yes, I understand. Most people do what comes naturally and what everyone else does, and don't think or try to be different. Too lazy to be articulate and choose words properly. But I know I won't change people, just stating an opinion.@@patriciacole8773

Really now you have to act like a robot? Hand gestures are natural and endearing and more people should be doing them like normal humans used to do before the lamest generation was born . Maybe work on your attention deficit problem?.

Super creative minds use their hands as they talk :)
@arnoldtoews78682 ай бұрын
@@pylgrymkid Most people just do what comes easily. That is laziness. Creative people like anyone else seem more credible when using proper language without wildly waving their arms. Stand out from the crowd by being unique, not the same as anyone else. Why must everything be exaggerated? Is super creative better than creative? Is absolutely right more right than just saying right? Think what you want to say, and say it correctly.

So, are you explaining if the first kitchen keeps the brick flooring and cabinet color, the walls should be a moody color with green grey quartz countertops OR the cabinets still need to be repainted to a moody color & countertops changed also? Thanks for the advice!
