To spot and focus on the difficult parts. It's really effective.

Really focusing in on the problem spots! I used that tip yesterday when practicing a piece. It helps me to play those problem spots over and over until it finally clicks with me!

Thanks Carrie, I like the tip to land on the next notes and don't even play them. Just know where you are going and repeat that until confident.

Yes! If you can place the notes, you'll be able to play them 😃

Yes, it is very important to pick pieces one can play! I have found it is better to choose very easy songs than too hard. Easy songs help me feel good about my playing so I can focus on good technique, and then I can work up from there. Also, as Carrie said: it is very important to read the music and be looking ahead!

Harp is a strategic instrument, maybe as well as other are, but still... Think ahead, read ahead and then enjoy this heavenly sound! 😊

Could you make a video about What harps pieces are a must listen to as an outsider from your point of view. And what pieces are a must play, must know, or must learn at least once as a harpist (from beginners to experienced)? I am interested in playing harp after listening to a beautiful piece call At the Fountain (La Source, Am Springbtunnen) Looking forward to your videos.

This is my favorite song from Sylvia Woods’ lesson book! Are you taking lessons from her?

Hi I started out back in 89 playing the harp on left shoulder using the left for trebels and right for bass which is entirely opposite than 90 percent of harp players. I have tried to switch. It would be like a right shoulder harpist trying to switch hands. I have accomplished a lot on my style. Strange thing is , I am right-handed and play trebles with left hand. I had dyslexia growing up and I suspect that may have some effect in my style of playing. I can even write backwards. Could you give me some insight on this?
