Thank you for the basics! I am a classically trained pianist that has been in many symphonies, but I’ve also played and sang many years too. So when I was in college, I had a major in piano, but a minor in voice, drama, and dance. So my minor in dance was jazz….which went hand in hand most times with musicals. Salsa and jazz have a lot in common, which I never realized, until I started watching the salsa you tube videos. My biggest talent is sight reading….everything from Rachmaninoff and Chopin, etc…..but I never was able to utilize any “creativity “, because of competitions, etc… I’ve realized that I’m actually really good at choreography, even though I was never a dance major. NOBODY really dances anymore, unless it’s country or salsa. So…..somebody who has technically never done salsa before, I came up with a very cool choreography for friends. My brother thinks it’s too complicated, but I disagree. I’ve got plans. Lol. But I’m NOT a salsa dancer, so even though I look “ok”, I am grateful for your tutorial on even the basic arm movements. Because I can do feet all day long….but trying not to look like a idiot with the arms….I also put in about 10% jazz, because I think they have a lot in common. Anyway, thank you again. Sincerely, Elizabeth Simmons
