Finally got it thanks to this vid and a piece of scrap rope. How giddy he gets about the mathew walker story 😂 amazing knot if only an entire rope could be done for climbing

Hello, with all due respect, is this really a Matthew Walker knot? I found your video a while ago and thought that I had found a much easier method of tying the knot. I believed that until I found an old paracord project that had Matthew Walker knots and they looked different from this knot. Just to check that this was correct I retied a Matthew Walker knot with the "original" instructions and this knot right next to it and they are definitely not the same knot. I can send picture if you would like to see. This is still an attractive knot and I enjoy using it on lanyards.
