Since being in Malaysia I’ve learned that we Brits are known for a few oddities here and there. Here are just 3 (ish) of them #malaysia #british #culturaldifference #observations #malaysian

Spot on! You can also add bath to the list. Soaking in your own dirty water? Water washing your ass, going to your face? Ewww 😂

dude.. not wearing shoes in the house is an asian thing.. not just Malaysia.. your house is an extension of your bed.. not the extension of the streets.. its plain simple good hygiene.. Asia is a floor base civilization..

Every westerner knows it most of the asian cultures. He mentioning specifically of Malaysia. Don't be surprised if you went to south korea or China mainland and there a lot of rich family didn't take off shoes..

I tried to wash dishes Malaysian way at my foster parent 's house in St Louis, USA. She complained that i was wasting water. Then i realised they are being thrifty.

There is no bidet in UK toilets and no water traps to remove water when washing toilet.

Outside shoes inside...eugh Leave those shoes inside the door, just common sense isn't it? Bringing outside dirt into your home? No way

Not only dirt, you could bring cow dung, dog, cat and chicken shit too?

honestly I've lived in a western country and even there I've never seen anyone using shoes or slippers inside their house, everyone I have seen walks in the house barefoot... Not sure what he's talking about here

That's absolutely correct.... Can't help the differences.... Our culture, our climate and our daily routine are not the same, so... There goes the differences.... 😅

To me, the concept of a dry bathroom. I couldn't keep my bathroom dry at all while living in the UK. The second thing is eating chips (we call it french fries here) with vinegar. So weird 😅

In Malaysia there are times people keep shoes inside house. Its a trick to avoid mosquitoes inside. When mosquitioes see no shoes outside, there is no point hunting for blood inside because no one is in. Well, somebody told me this. If he lied, then I lie. 😅
