I appreciate that you also included the things you like about it as well. I am hoping to pick one up for myself in the near future. Thanks for posting.

If you look back at some of my previous videos, quite a few of my best finds this year have been with the XTPro!

I own one this is nit picking, for the price this is the best detector made! Searching for vid content is all this vid boils down to.
@SeekandDetect6 ай бұрын
I agree. It’s such a good machine for the price, it’s tough to find things to not like about it. 😊

I find that the 5 inch Equinox coil is much more accurate with target ID than the stock coil. Also, lowering the sensitivity to about 18 improves target ID. Great video!
@SeekandDetect6 ай бұрын
I’ve used a 6” equinox coil quite a few times and you are correct! I also tend to keep the sensitivity down around 15 and it helps.

I just bought a used xterra pro with an extra unused v8x coil for $325.00 cad. The guy only had it for 6 months and barely used it. He already had 4 detectors and wanted to buy another but his wife told him he had to get rid of one before he bought anything else. The weather has been nasty since I got it but I did get out once and in two hours at a small park I found $4.95 in clad, a couple of ear rings(not gold or silver), a small tactical flashlight and a couple sweater pins. The vdi was jumpy with the stock coil but I dig everything so it doesn't matter. I'll try the v8x next time I go out. So far I'm very pleased with the machine.

@@SeekandDetect It's drying up a little here now(eastern Canada). There's a music festival that happens near me every year but it's 15 kilometers on dirt roads and it's pretty soupy right now. They average around 50,000 attendees each year and I don't think anyone is detecting there. I'm headed there Thurs if I can get through the mud. I'll try the small coil and let you know.

I got back to that place this week. The road was bad but the old crv got me there. In 2 hrs I found $6.00 in cash, 2 cheap looking earrings and my first ring, a small 925 silver , along with the usual bottle caps and pull tabs. I forgot the small coil, this was the stock one. Can't wait to go back.

Extremely informative! At $299 + ($145 headphones), those on the fence about the X-Terra Pro might want to consider the Equinox 600 being cleared out at $499 on multiple sites. It's a well-proven machine with multi-freqs & (wired) headphones. / Am looking fwd to your Equinox 900 video. 😃

I did recent see the 600 was only 499 now. Same low grade wired headphones that come with the 540. But at least there's some Bluetooth options out there that'll work with it.

The X-Terra is one of our detectors. We also use the Vanquish 540. Great video ❤

Could you also use threadlock to tighten up that screw?
@SeekandDetect6 ай бұрын
I could try that. The problem is the plastic cuff is just slightly loose on the aluminum shaft.
@monkeysnark7043Ай бұрын
@@SeekandDetectline it with duct tape on the inside, with a opening for the screw. Should tighten the fit, though one could say, it should not be “slightly “ anything. Yet, it is plastic, mass produced, and sometimes you need to MacGiver. Btw, it should have already had blue thread-locker on the screw?

I have dug thousands ! of targets X-Terra Pro and have totally no wobble issues with it.

Mine is mostly the arm cuff, it has a little play. I tighten the screw but the constant swinging side-to-side end up loosening it again.

If you look at the fcc specs on the Xterra Pro, it shows the same frequencies as the Equinox and Vanquish lines. It has Multi IQ in beach mode.
