So, a decade ago when I turned 30, my father told me "Son, pick a place and we will go there, just you and I". I picked Iceland because I've heard the most marveous and mysterious things and I would never go there on my own. I had the most surreal and unexpected experience ontop of one of the glaciers on Iceland. No clouds. No winds at all. Just me, my father, a lovely couple from New York, and our guide. There should be windy noises and turmoil that high in the middle of the Atlantic, but the SILENCE was.. I have no words for it! Overwhelming! It was a phenomenal and unexpected experience. I am not a spiritual person but it was almost spiritual, if I understand the word correctly. Ever since that day, I have been wanting to go to Greenland. Bigger has got to be better, right? lol Twice in my 40 year old life, nature has left me completely awe-struck; that day on the Icelandic glacier, and a night at the safari-lodge watching the Kenyan night sky. I think Greenland will be a good candidate for another experience. One way or another. It is my great shame, as a Scandinavian, that I have not visited our brothers and sisters of Greenland.

@tacticex5300 there was an Aryan migration between 2000BC to 1600BC they spread through India and most of the middle east and down into Africa. Hence why the Egyptians pictured in paintings and carvings aren't black. Then later on during Egyptian history the Roman empire invaded and so did the Greeks. So now you had even more European blood poured into the gene pool. So by the time you get to the famous Mark Anthony & Cleopatra story, the vast majority of Egypt's population was white. Hence they were vastly more technologically advanced than anyone else.

@@purpleduggy7680 I was stationed at Keflavik NAS, Iceland, in 2004-2005 while I was in the USAF. The US Armed Forces pulled out of Keflavik in 2006 or 2007, I forget which. Thing is, the US government had wanted us out of there for many years prior to that, but the Icelandic government kept pressuring us to stay. See, we initially established that base to keep an eye out for Soviet submarines trying to enter the open waters of the Atlantic. Once the Cold War wound down, we didn't have much use for the base anymore. But, see, we'd become an asset to Iceland. Besides the obvious influx of cash (both from renting the place and from us spending money locally), they got free air defense from a rotating wing of F-15s out of Italy...and much more importantly to them, they had a deal with us that we responded to all naval search and rescue calls in Icelandic waters. At no cost to them, all of their fishing vessels were supported in case of medical and weather emergency by our Pavehawk helicopters and pararescue paramedics, and by our Navy in case of piracy or other such general maritime issues. We were literally paying them for the privilege of protecting their assets. I've never been to Thule (pronounced "Toolie") AB in Greenland, but these sorts of conditions are common at any permanent and semi-permanent international USAF base. By and large, they want us there. I get you though. I don't like imperialism either. The world just isn't as simple as that. As an aside, the USAF returned to Iceland in 2016...not long after Russia started being a pain in the ass again. ;)

If you visit Tatakanoruma in Greenland on April 16th at 2:45am and wait for 15 minutes you will be approached by 6 people wearing brown robes tied to one-another with twine and if you open your hands you will receive multiple gifts ranging from the seemingly mundane to expensive gems and tokens. You must then hand them the gold nugget back, the silver coin, and the pocketwatch to pay for your time at the park and will be given a potion that upon imbibing at the center of the park and waiting for 7 minutes cross-legged on the ground with your eyes closed. Open your left eye to see into the past and witness the park as it once was during it's prime by a patron and open your right eye to see the future from the sight of one who will come in the future. You will then experience many lives and receive the ability to astral project as your pineal gland will then be opened fully, and all memories past and present (and the details within their minds which can be used to acquire vast wealth) in return for this boon you will be visited on the seventh year of your remaining lifespan (remember the pocketwatch). You may then choose to either accept death or be transformed into an Adlet and join his tribe and receive an additional 147 years of life but will be shunned from society due to your appearance and leave all past wealth and relationships behind. If you follow this invitation all I ask is that you do at least 50% good with the money gained or you will be devoured by forest trolls in your sleep.

The amount of joy I felt knowng there is a large, modern community of natives on their own land- Land they haven't been pushed out of or had stolen from them 🥺 Obviously there are native peoples out there who still have reign of their own land- It's just so rare to see any that more closely resemble the native peoples from the Americas. It makes me so happy, it really does. Have a lovely day 💕

Greenland has more autonomy than other danish regions, but i really don't think a island that is almost completely frozen would work as a country on their own.
