I usually get a lot of questions from new kayakers on what kayak to get, but sometimes they're not sure yet on where they will be paddling. Here's a couple of things to consider as you get into kayaking that could help answer these questions.

One thing that most people I know, question is..."seems like alot of work paddling all the way to...?" I think the main questions is, yes it can be hard on your body to paddle that far. But I think the most efficient way to get people out on the water is...short, convinient routes to places where they know have a good campspot. Been trying hard to map out my archipelago with good camp/rest-spots and sharing those maps on FB-groups.

Hi, I am just a beginner on kayak. I bought a Perception Sea lion kayak. I was told it is not for beginners because it is unstable it might capsize and I might drown because, it’s tight. I am planning to use it on a calm lake/river. What can you advise? Add a temp outrigger? 😊

So you really seem to have your act together so here goes, I am 6'0" 300 pounds, size 13 shoe, I am in fair health but want to drop weight, I can't stand a trend mill, or walking laps at the gym, I have been kayaking a few time and found it very enjoyable and a great work out. I live in central Missouri and my water sources very greatly, slow lazy rivers to the fast current of the Missouri and osage rivers, small to medium lakes. Not wanting to be confined to just one water due to boredom, while the outdoors is never really boring it can become repetitive. I am hoping that you can direct me to two or three models and brands for a good kayak, and I do like to be challenged, greg

Do you have to wear all that gear? Looks pretty dorky, I bought a kayak for £40 and I have just been pissing about in the river with it. When I paddle, lots of water comes inside, is that normal?
