Hey, thank you first off for putting these videos out there. Hitting is really 80% mental. My son needs less thought distraction when in the box, any routines or simple phrases you can think of to quiet his mind as he is stepping in? What is Yes, Yes, No?

I personally hit the ball to early and always hit the ball to left field. I’m really good against fast pitchers but I’m really bad against slow pitchers or an off speed pitch. I also often swing at bad pitches and crowd the plate unconsciously.

Been watching your videos probably since June, great tips. A suggestion......i try to get my 10 year old to watch and he has for some but he gets bored not seeing the grest advice "not played out", for instance watching you 1/2 swing at the ball on a tee. I think the younger crowd would like to see some actual results. Whether it be actually fielding the ball, or hitting a pitch or off the tee.

I use a 2 tee drill for that issue. one tee representing contact, a second tee with a soft-toss ball on it at good extended position, and make sure they follow through at the shoulder. eyes should still be on the point of contact when they finish.

I played little league baseball for 2 years, then stopped because I had interest in soccer. 2 years after my final game (which was 20% of a game, due to a thunderstorm) I didn't play for two years. Today, exactly two years later after my last game, I went outside with my dad and played baseball. Two years later. First pitch, strike. Second pitch, pop up. Third pitch, hits it high and way out.
