2022 was Sinner’s worst season. It taught him what true failure looks like (something Alcaraz has yet to learn), with devastating losses in the US Open, Wimbledon, etc. But it also taught him how to recover from that. And now, he is stress free.

Great video! I managed to snag some last minute tickets to see him play in the Davis Cup final tomorrow 😃 I’m so excited and can’t wait to see the power and fighting spirit in person! I never got to see the greatest player ever in person i.e. Rafa Nadal, so I promised myself I wouldn’t miss the Sinner show too. I’m so happy to have another player to support and become invested in their success, I never thought I would find another after 20 years of supporting Rafa. Forza Jannik! 🥕

That PCB match felt like a video game.

After the fifth match point missed Carreno-Busta simply collapsed physiologically. These matches have solidified Sinner's mental strength for sure. One can also notice the difference between drop-shots quality from two years ago and the end of 2024. Jannik is definitely a more complete player now.

I liked pre-2021 Sinner better. Well, the person at least. Obviously he’s just getting better and better nowadays with his game, but I liked it when he would show some more emotion on court, celebrate a bit, blow off some steam when he was feeling the pressure, just say a few words, any words, once or twice😂 Nowadays he seems like a bit of a robot. A very talented robot, a very nice guy too, but still, a robot. I want to see some of all of that passion I know is on the inside, on the outside!

i prefer this rather than a clown like nick kyrgios. Anyway, he communicates a lot, just not in an exhibitionist way

@giuseppepascuzzi791 Oh come now, what sport do you know of where athletes don’t communicate their emotions to the audience? Even golf, the most “gentlemanly” of “gentleman’s games” (whatever that means) has athletes much more outgoing, but only in tennis it seems like there is some unspoken rule that the “true” (again, what🤷🏻♂️) athletes are silent. Although I suspect it’s more snooty fans than anything else who think they (arrogantly) deserve that level of self control from athletes playing under pressure they couldn’t even comprehend as opposed to the athletes who are either outspoken or quiet by nature… Either way, respectfully, I think it’s quite boring. Emotion is fun. Wearing your heart on your sleeve is fun. It gives us an inside look into what they’re going through on court, and just because some let the pressure get to them or, on the other side, enjoy their success a bit doesn’t make them a clown. It makes them human and more relatable.

@@Tennisisreallyfun you are confusing sport with show. The game must be fun, not the player. If you can’t appreciate introvert personalities it’s your problem

@@giuseppepascuzzi791 “The game must be fun, not the player”. To you maybe, but I disagree, I value someone who wears their heart on their sleeve a little bit. No need to attempt to convince me to your side, let’s just agree to disagree🤷🏻♂️

It costs a lot of energy to show emotions and after that it‘s harder to focus back for the next point. He just choses to stay calm and focussed.
