Love and accept your body as it is. This will motivate you to make better choices that will result in you being healthier. It sounds counterintuitive, I know. But it really works. Also, to lose weight, eat fewer carbs, more protein and healthy fat, and exercise! Focus more on being healthy than the numbers on the scale. Be happy about whatever improvements you make, and your husband will notice. Inshallah

Are you actively trying to lose weight? Like cutting out sugar from your diet or doing some form of regular exercise?
@alysellin686
@alysellin686 3 жыл бұрын
@@yasminm5385 Cutting out sugar is never going to happen 😂. I’m a coffee drinker and need my one teaspoon of sugar in my coffees. (I do drink 5 a day-yikes- it feels horrible saying that) I don’t drink soft drink, (only water) I don’t have chocolate or sweets on a regular basis. My main issue is not eating throughout the entire day, then eating late at night. I’m so use to it now, that’s it become a habit I can’t seem to break out of. I do workout. Usually 5 days a week, but I’m in Australia, and we are in lockdown again, so my entire day is spent homeschooling my child, and taking care of the baby. By the time it comes to my usual workout time, I’m exhausted, so I have been slack in the past few weeks. I think the main issue with me is before I had kids, I could eat anything I wanted and never gain weight. But since getting pregnant with my first, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos (which makes it harder to lose weight) and that made me gain over 35 kgs with my first pregnancy. This has also become an excuse. My second pregnancy, I was overweight, so the doctor told me not to gain anything. I managed to workout 6 days a week (even through the morning sickness for the entire 9 months) not gain any weight and actually lose 5kgs. So I know I can do it, I just need that push. In saying all this, since having my second child, I’m just so meh about it all. My second child doesn’t sleep well, I’m up till late with her every night, on minimal sleep, so when I eat, I don’t make the best food choices and tend to binge eat late at night. That’s my life story. Not that you asked for it. But there it is.
@yasminm5385
@yasminm5385 3 жыл бұрын
@@alysellin686 Sorry to hear that, I can imagine exercise would be the last thing on your mind. Lack of sleep causes havoc to blood sugar levels which also affects our food choices. Try to make even a small but consistent change to your diet like cutting down on eating meat or if you can cook enough for a few days. My sister told me that drinking diluted apple cider vinegar is good for weight loss. May Allah give you the best of support from your loved ones

@@Eleidig007 Sister I've was born and raised in poverty. I've never had wealth. I'm always thrifty and never wasteful. My household barely throws anything away. We've never bought Tupperware or storage bags, we just reuse the plastic containers that food comes in. We even wash and reuse plastic silverware. We reuse trashbags. We recycle everything possible. Its crazy funny to me. I've always been this away. Even before I reverted. When I look back at my past I see that so much is aligned with Islamic principles. I 'feel' like the hand of Allah (Subhanhu Wa Ta'ala) was always guiding me and showing me the right ways.

A tip for the sisters; place a perfume and lipstick 💄, mascara and kohl/eyeliner close to your entrance. I been doing that for years, just before hubby is about to enter, I would quickly spray perfume and touch up myself with the lipstick and kohl ☺️, placed at my console table next to the entrance! Works best to freshen up to greet and welcome hubby in the nick of time! 💖

I witnessed all of this first hand and if these things were implemented on a 30+ year marriage.. I know it would have went a lot different . In my opinion . After a long day at work , they want a place to bring them happiness and calm & somewhere they feel wanted & needed , not to be a nag bag or a punching bag or a dumpster to dispose of all your frustrations and animosity on what ever the problem of that day is - just show them you missed them and that you couldn't wait to see them and be excited to see them walk in the door , not look at them like , "oh , its you again" . I agree with everything point he had in this video clip .

By Allah,for those sisters thinking they can not sort themselves out because they have no time ,do it at night when everybody is asleep and do have the kids in bed or their rooms by 8-9 the latest .....there is no "too tired every single day " ....if your program is too busy for your own life partner at night then you may need to sit down and look at what you can do to make some changes ...less work if necesary or even a different job....your provision is from Allah and intimacy brings provision as well....

So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. If a woman has to “make up” excuses to not want to be intimate these are few possible reasons: 1) Stress/Burnout/Mental health struggles 2) Her physical, emotional needs are not being met by the husband ( there are still men out here who believe the female orgasm doesn’t exist) 3) Low sex drive 4) Unhealed past sexual traumas These can all be resolved through communication, willingness from both husband and wife to understand each other and counseling. I believe that overall this video was informative and can be beneficial for women especially Muslim women. However, I don’t think telling women that they MUST go to their husbands every single time they call for intimacy is healthy. I understand constantly rejecting calls for intimacy can be painful but sending the message that husbands are totally and completely entitled to their wife’s body is not going to fix the marriage problem within our community. Especially since there has been so much miseducation, misinformation about sexual intimacy amongst Muslims and the traumas relating to sex that many women have endured in their life. Being intimate with your husband should be an enjoyable experience, it should not feel like a chore. And I believe by telling men that they are entitled to their wives’ body, it will result in resentment and negative feelings within the marriage.

Yet women are entitled to their husbands' money, lol. Listen sister, a man IS entitled to intimacy whenever he wants it, as that's part of the marital contract and one of his marital rights as per the Hadiths. If you don't sexually please your husband, you better be prepared to get cheated on, cause men's sexual desires are too strong and if not satisfied in Halal, they'll do so in Haram, hence why Allah commands the wife to always please the husband, so to protect him from Zina.

How about when the wife comes back from her work later than he does? How about tips for this kind of marriage since it exists for many reasons, rather than telling women no work, ok we get it we'd better stay at home etc etc.. But what if we need to work? What if we work 8 hours and struggle with awful bosses (women bosses don't even assume a man boss), and even when we are deep deep down in an emotional burnout contemplating quitting our job, all what the husband wants is your respect and full attention.. What did he do to help me through my dark moments? Why couldn't he be thr stable one when my hormones and stress are driving me crazy? Why do I have to add another guilt and shame to my plate when I am already unable to get out of bed due to existential dread of life and serious depression? Where is his man stability if emotion? Why don't men just spoil you a little bit in such times and buy you a nice cake or take you out? No, he only asks about his dinner while he is not doing any chores at home even if we both work outside, because, well, he is a man.. And all the advise u men give each other are related to none working women worshipping their man when he comes home.. And devoting their life to his happiness. So unrealistic religious speach that is seperate from reality

Brother Gabriel.... It's good advice and I have been practicing all the 3 pints you mentuoned... however the reality is to some, when hubby returns home he is busy on his calls, on his mobile, no time to greet and meet wife 😔...it can be heartbreaking when it continues for long...for years.... eventually the wife will not be motivated to practice your second point. And even your third point....how to be intimate when hubby is just reading mails, catching up on news, and WhatsApp-ing on the bed until he falls asleep ... I think, this is common problem with most men working in the corporate world, they just have no time to romance with their wives....there is no more fun in intimacy when he is overworked, rather it becomes dull, pls also make a video to advice men...🥀

Don't worry brother by Allah’s grace I got it under control, I do my best and pray that Allah grant me sabr-un-jameel.... But a talk by an expert or scholar that addresses this issues may be helpful; the message will get to such men who are so absorbed in their work, I mean their mobile devices!

Praise be to Allah. Firstly: It is permissible for a woman to take part in public chat rooms, if she adheres to the following guidelines: She should only participate as much as is necessary, so she should pose a question or state the topic, then leave, and not comment unless there is a need for that, because the basic principle is that she should avoid speaking to men or mixing with them. There should be nothing in her words that could provoke fitnah (temptation), such as joking, speaking softly, or laughing, such as writing “hahahahahaha”, as mentioned in the question, or using smiley emojis, because that could lead to coveting on the part of those in whose hearts is disease, as Allah, may He be glorified, says (interpretation of the meaning): “O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech” [al-Ahzaab 33:32]. She should avoid giving out her email address or corresponding via private messages with any man, even if that is for the purpose of seeking help, because of what such correspondence often leads to of attachment and temptation. See the answers to question no. 34841 . It is preferable and better for a woman to participate only in all-female chat rooms. This is safer for her. There are many such chat rooms, and that is better and sufficient. But if she needs to participate in public chat rooms, then it is better for her to choose a screen name that does not indicate that she is female. And Allah knows best.

So true we are lacking discipline. When I see wild children and house upside down , I don't understand it. As a woman my home is my Palace. If my home is not in order then it really affects me. So all those sisters who are depressed, look at your home life. Start putting your home first. Another issue maybe you can cover brother. A lot of sisters think going to jummah/masjid to pray is fard upon them. I can understand a single or older sister with no children or older children going. But I've seen sisters dragging themselves with children to the masjid whilst their home life neglected. House is a mess, children are all over the place, husband can't say stay at home. It's like the women think the masjid is the same obligation as the men.

Polygamy isn't a Islamic thing, but Allah subhannahu wa taala restricted the man to have only 4 woman,. so the husband can give each of them their own rights. yes it's a difficult thing to process but honestly having a husband with multiple wives is more to my liking than one who arrives at home with multiple herpes infections, and std's and other sexually transmitted diseases. we should stop ideologize the western way of thinking because they have destroyed the morality of human beings, that's why nowadays men and women are in a war within their own households, with no value and respect towards the other one's honour and feelings
