I NEVER take off the plastic to begin with. It’s like a super floppy contact lense!! I MOUNT the first side to the nail, THEN remove the plastic. This method is so great because if you DO need to reposition the strip, the plastic is a sturdy anchor. I snip off the free end (both the plastic AND the strip,) and continue on with the demonstration. Thanks for this neat clean video. For a first time beginner for certain, leave on the plastic so it isn’t flopping all over the place…and for CERTAIN start with a glitter set. They have a much needed backbone!

Do your nails happen to have a kind of upside down bandy corn shape??? Those need to have the nail strip pre-trimmed, and carefully observe which end and center the middle of the strip you are applying is. The nail strips that are straight up and down to me actually look prettier because it gives the illusion that the nail is slender and straight. There will be a tiny piece of bare nail showing. Try it both ways (this trick looks best with BOLD colors

Can you apply these nail strips with nail hardener on your nails?
@GrammyTapDancing2 жыл бұрын
It's difficult if you have very short thin nails but I still manage to stay on for at least 3 wks. They still look pretty grown out from cuticles . Sparkle ones last longer. Takes practice

Have you tried cutting down/trimming the larger polish strips so you can use all of them?
@melissahaole81055 жыл бұрын
Hi Kim, I haven't cut the largest one but I have cut them before to fit my 5 yr olds little fingers (she loves mommies leftovers). If you are going to cut yours I recommend taking off the clear protective cover first, it's really hard to take off later. Thank you for watching my videos!

Can I use this product if I have no free edge?
@melissahaole81055 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for watching. Yes, if your nails don’t extend past your finger you could use a nail file or a wooden cuticle stick to remove the excess.
@barbarat57294 жыл бұрын
I wish someone would tell me how to keep them from IMMEDIATELY coming off my tips. I'm obsessed with the rose gold glitter, but it keeps coming off the tips!
@carolbeck81583 жыл бұрын
Are the strips too warm? Or too cold?? They need WARMTH AND Pressure….and did you clean the nail bed by prepping with the alcohol? It takes a while to get it just right. Don’t give up! If they are still acting up you can top coat and “seal” the ends with a clear glass/shellac going over the ends just a bit
@GrammyTapDancing2 жыл бұрын
I keep a set on my thin frail nails for almost 3 weeks and when I do mine I do them later in the day and I don't wash my hands again unless I have to wear gloves to do dishes and because they still cure & need to seal overnight when you go to bed. They dont seal or cure until morning. That 1st day is important once you get those stuck on your nails do not emerge your fingers in any kind of water till the next day I hope this helps
@annelanteigne66072 жыл бұрын
You can cut it with a pair of scissors so it doesn't pinch and good for the other nail. ❤
@vindadsk8ting4 жыл бұрын
You can use the left over piece for the other hand instead of crinkling it all up and throwing it away.

Why wouldn't you use nail clippers to get a clean cut
@nancyh91254 жыл бұрын
If the strip is wider than your own nail, hard to trim to size.
@melissahaole81054 жыл бұрын
Hi Nancy, I'm sorry our sizing isn't perfect for you. I have a few customers in the same boat and they love the glitters and solids because they will can apply then horizontally to get the width they need an remove the excess from the side. I hope that tip is helpful for you.
