I think to improve our listening skill, we first have to be familiar with what we are listening to, even though we don't understand each word. 2d. We have to build up our vocabulary and how it is pronounced because it is the key of understanding the language. 3d. We have to enjoy listening, I mean we can practice listening and entertain ourselves at the same time, watch what we like to watch. 4th. We have to write down any new expression, word or sentence we see and go over them many times regularly until they are stored in the permanent memory. In my opinion, Imitating native speakers may help us speak fast, but I don't think it helps us improve our listening skill.

I listen to one audio in listenaminute.com everyday. And while i listen it, I write down every word I can hear. I often write it in docs.google.com Because I find it more useful than paper.
