3 tips to improve your next presentation from speaking coach, Michael Angelo Caruso
Veteran keynote speaker, Michael Angelo Caruso offers three fantastic tips to use in the beginning of your next presentation or keynote speech.
1. Smile!
Many presenters think they are smiling, but they're not. Smiling shows confidence. If you don't believe in yourself, it will be challenging for other to believe in you.
2. Establish positive expectations for your talk.
If you were introducing someone to speak, you would tell the audience how great her presentation is. You should do this for yourself when speaking. Just say something like, "I have a fantastic presentation for you today!" Done.
3. Use the "half-step."
Move slightly toward the audience when you make bold claims or other salient points. This kind of subtle movement is psychologically attractive and very effective. Try it and see!
