Hey Nihar great question actually. It depends on the purpose of sketch. Car design sketches are more for emotions, so emotional product sketches are similar but sometimes very quick functional sketches are different. And on product design you can use more of human ergonomics references. But i like that question and I might do a video on that :) because also the style of designer would decide that.

Thanks man!! I would say dont put the pen on paper and act like you are drawing the circle, after 2-3 loop without stoping put the pen on paper. This way you will warm up to this movement and will get better result ! :) and you dont have to put perfect circle/elipse all the time. Its not easy..

It depends on person and project, short answer is; personally i like to sketch on small paper. It is faster, and i don`t need to go into details. It is more creative to me. If you are on stage to show details then of course the big size is better. It even depends on mood as well :) so just sketch whichever is more fun to you!! Hi Berk, I am really inspired by your work and suggestions about sketching cars. When I was studying Transportation design, I would hide my sketches thinking what would others think. I was overwhelmed by best students in my class who sketched really good right from 1st year, their ideas and concepts, presentations and skills. Since then I lost confidence in sketching as I would always mess up my sketch like the perspective is wrong or proportions are wrong, sometimes both. Could you make a video about how to sketch a car in perspective with correct proportions like how to establish the width of the car in front 3/4 view or rear 3/4 view, I always struggle with this. What would you suggest how to come up with great ideas? As I have seen and see designers (student level) come up with awesome designs while some struggle. Another thing I struggle is bringing a idea from brain to the paper, mostly I mess up with what I intended to draw but end up sketching completely different idea.
