Elmer's Glue makes a wood filler that comes in a tube that is stainable. It's the best I've ever found.

Made the butterfly box. It is so cute. I love it. I glued 2 blocks side by side for each side of the lid to keep it on. I couldn't get it to work the other way. Now on to the next project😊

Some wood fillers are made the different shades of brown like wood and you just pick which color matches your stain the best. 😊

The tray was my favorite, love the detailing at the corners! Maybe the butterfly mold would be better with hot glue or resin?
