I show You how to make 3 Transistors no IC running LED light chaser with SPEED controller. This circuit using 3 small NPN Transistors without using any IC (Integrated Circuit).

- 3 pcs NPN transistors; C/S9013 or BC547, You can use any other NPN transistor (but You have pay attention into EBC pin sositions).
- 15 pcs or more 3v LED bulbs.
- 4 pcs Elco 100uF/16v.
- 4 pcs 4K7 Resistors.
- 3 pcs 560 ohm Resistors.

Finally! A neat circuit for a running light! Thanks! Now I just have to change it a bit. I want to surprise my daughter with a magic wand. It will be partly made of plastic and partly made of wood. It will have a single button. If you press this, the running light starts and the tip lights up. However, I will only use 3 LEDs and then something like a strip of hot glue stick as a diffuser so that it is visible as a rising light ("magic energy") and not as individual LEDs. You wouldn't believe how long I had to look for a usable and neat circuit... Now I just have to reduce it to at best 3V (button batteries) and 3 LEDs and make the length as compact as possible so that it fits into the branch. that the template for the staff fits. The branch is cool! It is slightly thicker at the handle than at the tip and especially the first 5-6 cm are curved and the rest is straight. The stick is approximately 15 cm long. That will be cool! Thanks!

If you make 4, 6, 8, etc, Transistors, the result of light movement looks like 2 Transitors (flip-flop). If you make 5, 7, 9, etc, Transistors the result of light movement looks like 3 Transitors (chaser).

Kemungkinan terbesar ada 2 hal penyebab tidak berhasilnya rangkaian elektronika, 1) Ada komponen yang rusak. 2) ada kesalahan pada rangkaian. Banyak channel lain yang meng-copy ide video saya ini, silahkan cek sendiri, (lihat tanggal upload) artinya mereka berhasil membuatnya.

I tried making a copy on a bread board, and fired it up, all the lights came on. I can't tell for sure where you connected the middle lead ( yellow wire) from the potentiometer, as well I'm uncertain where you connected the pos of the LEDs. It took some time to assemble, and am calling it a day. I'll mess with it some more tomorrow. I really like the result you achieved, and I hope to have a working copy soon. It will indeed be easier if you have electronic skills, so you must really try hard to succeed, and you need to remember a small mistake can be fatal.

so you need be careful, please pay attention to EBC transistor pins, sometimes the different manufacturing of transistor is a different EBC position.

@@moristo I purchased 30 of them , and double checked online. E,B,C. I make things with them all the time. I can't waite to get this working, LEDs are Red, White, Blue, Red White Blue, ect. 15 total. I did not have 560 ohm resistor, I combined 2, 270 ohm resistors, = 540 ohm. That should still work. ??

2 x 270 ohm in serie connection (not paralel) will work, also you can use 470 ohm.

If someone was into modeling landscapes for model railroads etc, and wanted to make an airport and runway as part of the modeled landscape, this would work good for the "Rabbit" sequenced flashers that the runway approach lighting systems use. Five micro, white LED's for MALSF and MALSR, eight for SSALR and SSAL, and fifteen for ALSF-1 and ALSF-2.

It would be interesting, to remove the 4K7Ω resistor from across the potentiometer. I would think, that allowing the full 10KΩ available from the potentiometer, and see how SLOW the sequence can go.

I put 4k7 Resistor on it because LED stop running when the resistansi on potentiometer more than 5k (when 10k pot rotary center position)

@@moristo I built a similar circuit, but, I used 1kΩ pull up resistors, 10KΩ bias resistors, and a 10K potentiometer. I was able to do away with both the resistor and capacitor across the potentiometer. The next time I try it, I'm going to use constant current sources, instead of 10K,(where you used 4K7Ω) to see if I can get a greater span from slowest to fastest. I like the idea of a 33% duty cycle three phase signal generator, that's variable. I learned a lot, watching this video. Thanks for posting!
