a woman i once met at a party told me this true story. she met a guy at a bar she ended up kissing. she got an unusual infection on her mouth. she went to doctor. doctors called the cops. she was interrogated as if she was a criminal. she didnt understand why instead of helping her - they were treating her poorly. eventually they believed she didnt do anything. she told them she kissed a stranger at a bar. they tracked him down and discovered he killed his gf, kept her in his closet, and kept kissing her. the reason why the dr called the cops was because the bacterial infection sge caught is typically a bacteria found on decomposing flesh. the woman became somewhat traumatized from this entire experience.

Okay, REAL Spoiler now: See how the guy's food was not shown when it could have been easily shown? Animator was intentionally hiding it, and when you get more into the story, you realize Scarlet is a deranged cannibal, and when the guy himself took a taste of human brains, he acquired that taste. Hence hiding that food, it was a very big forethought hint.

On the first story I immediately thought of the grandma being a witch. Back in Salem, people who were thought to be witches and died would have their lower body severed from their upper body and they would be buried in different places so that the “witch” would not come back and haunt the town.
